Has anyone thought of doing covered bridges lot? Thought that would be a nice addition to SC4.
Think I seen this some where. At least in a MD.

Okay, I made one for Peg's Pond Kit, working smoothly so far.
Theres only one covered bridge included in this game. I used the covered bridge for a roadway in a small town, but the water may have been shallow. It would be awesome if that was a draggable ped walkway bridge too, but your right. Why didn't they make more covered bridges for this game?

The one you see here will also have a middle piece. This way multiple pieces may be used in between for different pond sizes, so rather than one lot, I'm going to do start and end instead and optional middle pieces for various widths across since everone has different sizes.
Looking pretty good. I'll be interested to see what the middle pieces look like when they're done. In regards to your comment about there only being one covered bridge in the game, I've actually made one and, once it's done testing, should hopefully be available when the next version of the NAM comes out. Lot based bridges for the ponds are a good idea too.
@threestooges, its great work you did. When you say the next version, does that mean you are going to have both a draggable ped mall bridge, and a street one? Mine isn't designed for traffic, and wouldn't hold up for mass traffic, its based off a pedestrian bridge in the park. I didn't know what more I could do for the middle, right now the middle pieces are going to be 1x1 lots that can go next to each other but are basically whats picutured already, minus the ramps. This way its not just one sized only bridge going over. I had planned for diagonals, but does anyone think I should combine the two together?
I actually hadn't looked into making a ped mall bridge/puzzle pieces. I'm still learning the whole process and have been focusing on draggable transit networks. The bridge is for roads (though one for streets wouldn't be a bad idea...but that would require a bit of research). Diagonals wouldn't be a bad idea and if you intend to include them I would suggest combining both into one pack for ease of dl'ing.

Street bridges are possible and do exist already (I'll say I made the first thanks to Smoncrie's reseach ¡¡¡), and they work the same way as road bridges. I am sure you can make one (once you have the models) in an hour ;)
Well if that's all it takes, I can probably get something going around here... I'll see if I can find that hour in the coming days.
Ok, unfortunately this took a lot longer than I had hoped, but here it is, my straight across, modular parkway covered bridges. Believe it or not, it only consists of a couple of lots, an end piece, and center. I did throw in a 2x2 lot with a small bridge to cross to save space. You will need Pegs Pond Kit, but I did attach a readme.

This bridges looks good. And i am happy to see you made it for Pegs Pond Kit, as there isnt much for this set. So i am ready to try it out. But i have some problems downloading it. Cant find the web page.

I made it so the files would be already there. I know that certain security systems will cause issues. If it still doesn't work, I could email you the files.

Hi, J-Dub. It must have been just a temporary problem with the web site, because its no problem downloading it now.
Its now testet, and it actually looks better than expected. This is something i have wanted for a long time. It is in particular nice that its possible build the bridge in an extended way depending on how wide the river or lake is.

Ok, I made a canal version of the bridge, with seperate modular lots again. The bridge model file had to be slightly modified to fit the canals. The picture you see below, is actually duplicate end piece lots. A middle piece of the bridge hanging over water has been included as well, on a 1x2, this way, it ensures the bridge to various lengths across. Enjoy.
