After receiving such a warm reception from all my good friends here when I shared my photos from
my trip to New England (http://sc4devotion.com/forums/index.php?topic=2096.0) last summer, and at the request of my good friend Ryan (
burgsabre87), I decided to share some here from my weekend excursion to the Lone Star State--Texas.
There's a bit of a backstory to this trip--one of my best friends moved to Dallas last summer and, since the two of us are
huge fans of Bruce Springsteen, it was a lock I'd be making the trip out when Bruce finally made it to Dallas on this (and possibly his last) tour. Well, what was originally planned as a three-hour, non-stop flight from Philadelphia to Dallas, turned into a flight to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, then to Dallas, thanks to the recent flight cancellations by American Airlines.
Finally making it to Dallas, we realized that, not only was Bruce playing in Dallas, but he was also playing in Houston the following night, and that Houston was a mere four-hour drive away! Needless to say, we added Houston to the list. However, this made the trip particularly exhausting since, after the Houston show, we had a four-hour drive back to Dallas, which got us back at 4:00 AM, just in time to get to the airport for my flight to Minneapolis, MN. On less than two hours of sleep, we flew to Minneapolis, accompanied by a small child who sang the ABCs repeatedly right behind me, making sleep an impossibility. A connecting flight to Philadelphia came after a two-hour layover, and after another two-hour drive home from Philadelphia, I made it home...completely exhausted.
All in all, though, it was a really great trip. Hope you enjoy the pictures, my friends!

I've been to Alaska and Spain...but not Texas. I know southwest Virginia like the back of my hand, and I know the way around Great Smoky Mountain Nat'l Park rather well...and I know the Outer Banks along the coast of North Carolina, too...but no personal experiences of Texas. I hope to visit eventually.

Looks like it was a great show dude. Yes, I'm also a huge Boss fan. Went to his concert here, critics called it one of his top ten of all time. I've always wanted to go to Houston and Dallas. Hope you had a great time dude. Just curious, but what songs did he play for the encore?
