Title: GMAX and Autodesk
Post by: HandsOn on April 19, 2008, 03:59:19 AM
Is it possible (I believe it is) to import Autodesk stuff into GMAX (BAT) and then scale it down to the proper size? I am much better in Autodesk..  :P

Incidentely, it appears that our Belgian friends have found a way to make money from empty BATs: found this in my neighborhood ("leer" means empty in Dutch).

Autodesk what?  Autodesk are just the company that make AutoCAD and 3DS Max, as well as the original GMAX.  You can export as a 3DS file, but you will lose all textures etc.

Diggis is right, you will lose the textures when you export as 3ds, but you keep the UV coordinates, so if you apply the same texture as in Gmax/max in the reader your model will look exactly like it did in the modelling program, and you will not need to remap it in the reader.
