Something like that that can be easily linked, eithier on a concrete base or ashpalt. Maybe an overhanging piece that blends into the NAM Overpass supports as well.
ahhh OK kewl hmm I thought there was something like that on the STEX already??? But either way I do hope that some one would do those!!!
Amazingly there is nothing on the stex, appears to have been overlooked all these years...
i always called them k-rails anyway out of interest what would you use them for???
Medians, guard rails on high mountain slopes or cliffs etc.
Us Canadians use these bariers every where we want to block people from driving. I have seen miles of these placed on highways during construction. Also on construction lots when building anything from houses to skyscrapers.
I'm sure you couldn't drive any more than ten minutes down town Toronto without seeing these barriers some where. Kitsune will know what I'm talking about.
Robin ;)
oh I do rooker - I look out the window and have a nice view of the Gardiner with its old fashion Jersey Barriers....

we've got them here in the states as well... I know them as K-Rails but same in one... But there is some more specs if that helps who ever was to do these...
I'm not sure if anyone has started on these things yet, but I have my last law school final for the year tomorrow. I may be able to take a stab at these over the weekend. Any preferences for lengths?

-Edit- Well, I actually went ahead and tinkered with the BAT tonight. Here's what I came up with based on the above pics. Right now, the dimensions are H: 1m L: 4m W: .8m. If anyone has a decent concrete texture (I'm not too good at making those things yet) that would look good... At any rate, comments are certainly welcome.

Good work, threestooges! Another step towards absolute realism. :)
&apls Matt that is looking real good there so far and as needing concrete textures, did you try and do a search on some, if not here (http://images.google.com/images?hl=en&q=concrete+textures&um=1&ie=UTF-8)....
Those look great!
There are 3 different types of jersey barriers made, modeled with real-life scaling specifications for the Big Dig project.
Standard jersey barrier (type FJ), K-rail, F-shape barrier and constant slope barrier are made by the big dig 3.0 project and these barriers are being T-21'd shortly so they can appear on RHW and standard road networks as T-21 props.
Here is a pic of F-shape barriers in one of big dig ramps under progress:

Excellent news. I suppose that makes my little venture a bit obsolete. I will render them though if anyone is interested in having them, but from the looks of it, people who actually know what they're doing are working on it too. Great work on the whole Big Dig thing blahdy. Very skillful modelling (and modding, etc).
Matt I still would love to have yours as well!!!
nice work. what if you rendered them in portable fashion? ie: water filled temporary barriers? ::)
