Hey all!
I've just discovered this site, and downloaded a lot of great stuff from the exchange. But...being a rookie...I've got a few questions (that I'm sure can be chalked up to "user error."
1) I have several "brown boxes of death" appearing in my cities. When I query, they are fireworks stores and "SumTingWong" places (whatever that is). I assume I must have missed a dependency...but I'm actually not sure what file those buildings belong too. Anyone recognize it?
2) The reason I started downloading in the first place was because I wanted the RL fast food places (McDonalds, etc etc). I downloaded the file, but they aren't showing up. Could just be pure chance, but if there's another step, can anyone tell me what it is?
3) I also downloaded a ton of houses...but now certain sized residential areas don't develop at all, regardless of demand, taxes, etc. Specifically, 1x1 and 4x1 plots don't develop, regardless of whether they're alone or part of a larger, developed plot.
Thanks for all of your help...and especially a thanks to all of those great creators!

They are part of SimGoobers small commercials. You have missed the model packs I would think.

Largely due to chance. Any new lots have to compete with all other lots of the same size and wealth.

Umm, 1x1 and 4x1 do take some special time to develop. I'm not sure of the specifics though.
