Well looks like the doors are open. I've started stocking the bar and as Pat may have suggested the
main beer is of course:-

(https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg91.imageshack.us%2Fimg91%2F2194%2F7707kh2.jpg&hash=82bb7ca662c855b1075f89e2c91cd04343ce99e1)

With a range of other Aussie beers as well. Help yourself if I'm not around

For those a little more adventourous, you could try this drop that Derry kindly introduced me to. I'll let you make
up your own mind, but I luv it  $%Grinno$%

(https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg185.imageshack.us%2Fimg185%2F5552%2F9607382480x36012b3039rb5.jpg&hash=d9fd922c820689d69cb6b383055d979f471c2d09)

Derry, hope this will do for starters. Let us know what else to put on the shopping list.

(https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg91.imageshack.us%2Fimg91%2F4083%2Fteatwiningsrq3.jpg&hash=5cef9b2dd52d32910e4f84a0566182f4389f56d6)

And of course, some stuff to rot your teeth.

(https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg91.imageshack.us%2Fimg91%2F1301%2F25softdrinksnarrowweb30yi8.jpg&hash=6f5708f183bbc6368706cdffa1629dbed3cb807a)

Joe, has he fed you yet. Interesting to see what the chef can cook up, if he can cook that is.

Seeya later Dave

I had a bottle (or few) of VB at an Australian do I went to about 10 days ago, so I'll have one of those please (although 8:15 am is a tad early, even for me!)

And Pat, was that you on the voice over?  You should get a job doing voiceovers.  You could do the TV ones and Dave could do the radio ones, after all he has a perfect face for radio :D :D :D

(Probably asking for trouble with that)

Oh, and can we have some NUTs on the bar?

You guys should have known you couldn't keep something like this a secret from me for very long! Anyway, hope you don't mind if I bring along a few friends and relations. We'll take that long table in the center next to the dance floor, if you please. And this is a hungry bunch, so I hope you have that flat top set up and ready to go, Pat.

Anyway, they'll pretty much behave themselves
as long as you keep the food, beverages and loud music coming! YeeHaw, it's party time!

A face for radio you say

(https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg138.imageshack.us%2Fimg138%2F5725%2Fdscf0926et1.jpg&hash=ebc9b279743532f314200f9dab724c8ef932f2b4)

Paul on a good night  :D (that is him by the way  ::) )

Pat, good to see you have the kitchen up and running. Do we have a pizza oven back there by the way?

Based on Joan's pic, I think she should be in charge of hospitality (in other words, official party organiser)

Great to see a few people dropping by, well someone has to pay our wages, don't they Pat. Speaking of money, Joe, the bill is in the mail for the advertising  ;)

Have fun everyone, eat heaps, drink in moderation (pom's, kiwi's and Aussies, forget the previous advice) and come back soon.

New York Strip Steaks Fresh Cut
Our classic, Choice boneless New York Strip steak is cut from the heart of the loin. One of the most popular steaks at fine restaurants because of its robust flavor and tenderness. A truly hearty steak.

Ribeye Steaks
Ribeyes are distinguished by their rich marbling and the "flavor Kernel" that runs through the steak. It's this marbling which slowly melts and bastes the meat during the cooking process, imparting a mellow, succulent, prime rib flavor. There are leaner cuts of meat available, but rich marbling makes ribeyes the juiciest of steaks with an intense, savory appeal.

Chateaubriand
The Chateaubriand is the "filet mignon of roasts". This cut of beef is actually uncut filet mignon in roast form. Very tender and very lean, carved only from the finest aged, Midwestern grain-fed beef. Considered a luxury roast, an excellent choice for dinner parties.

Bacon Wrapped Tenderloin
Our incredible tenderloin filet mignons are a celebration in themselves. Our filets are slowly aged for luscious flavor and buttery tenderness, then hand-carved from the center of the tenderloin. The number one choice for special occasions, filet mignons are the epitome of taste, when complemented with wild mushrooms and creamy potatoes.

Well I'm back. I've had internet problems all week but all is fixed, I hope.

Linda, great to see you here. You have a permanently reserved table and a seat at the bar. Although as hard as we try, Joe always seems to sit in the wrong spot.

Pat. I need a special order, a favourite down here. A pizza, simple really, cheese, bacon and egg, yumm.

Joe, I'll just add that advertising bill to your bar tab, so I guess it'll never be paid lol.

Cheers

Dave

What kind of beer do you like?
Title: Re: Patrick and Dave's Beastro Bar
Post by: paroch on June 06, 2008, 12:22:53 PM
Ah, Robin, It may be quicker to list which beer I don't like  ;)

Depends on my mood as to whether a nice cold lager - Amstel (Holland), Carling (England), Peroni (Itlay) or Cruzcampo (Spain) are favourites, or a traditional English Ale, in which case London Pride or Adnams Southwold top the list.

Which one(s) are you bringing along?

"snip"
Which one(s) are you bringing along?

I'm the same.
I like to go to the liquor or beer store on a Friday and pick out a few that I haven't tried before.
There aren't too many that I have had that I don't like.  Although I have had Wheat Beer and I don't like that.  I was in Nice and Milano a year and a half ago and tried some.  I can tell you, it's not for me.
As a matter of fact, I'm on my way to the beer store very shortly.  ;)
Robin

Had such a good time last evening, I thought I'd swing back by for breakfast. I know you have your breakfast menu, and it does look good, but I was wondering if it would be possible to whip up a Monte Cristo sandwich (on the flattop instead of fried)? It's a heck of a way to start the day (or for lunch or dinner too for that matter). If not, I think I'll just have one of those Beastro Pancakes. I'll be over in that corner by the window... time for some more BATting.

What, are we running out of the stuff already? In that case, I'll have to make some more.

Sorry Pat, I hope I'm not overstepping my bounds by pillaging your kitchen, I'll make sure I clean it up at least. Now then, does anyone happen to have a spare keg of beer? I ran out of stock for the paella, but I found a keg back here last time and that seemed to do the trick...

Just kidding Robin, and please, call me Matt. I'll keep an eye out for the keg, but judging from the party, I can't guarantee its contents... Well, back to work... and speaking of work, how're the beef and pig doing?

Hey, you're back. I was just down at the store picking up a few scouring pads (that pan ate through a few already). There was a delivery truck or two here earlier and I think the fridge and pantry are restocked (then again, I only know what was here when I raided it). You should go take a look through though, make sure everything is in order, and I'll get back to that pan. Not bad for someone who just came in for a place to BAT... next thing you know it's a party.

By the way Robin, any luck finding out who drained your keg?

Well, would you look at that... if you clean like this after taking care of a keg... Hey Pat, Dave, you know for the price of a keg of beer you might have found yourselves a one-man cleaning crew.

The last of the dishes should be almost done by now, and I'll make sure that huge pile of trash out back gets taken to the dump (and recycling station too of course). After that, it's back over to my table where *looks over* yeah, my laptop's still there. Great party guys.

No no Pat, I was only here when the trucks came. It was Linda who got it all ordered and taken care of. My compliments to her too. Some good stuff she got. I'll be happy to cook and all though if you're looking for some part-time help... it's a good way to relax.

*Looks back up and over to Robin*
8 ball eh? Must've slipped my mind between platters of paella. Is the table open? I think I can make time for a quick game... though I'm not all that good... which is why it will probably be quick. Great to hear about the cleaning service. I wish you both lots of luck with that. I know people can be picky about stuff like that, but I expect that's true with anything. Keep us posted on it. Now then, shall we play?

All right then... I see how the game is played here. Looks like a decently open table here.

*Takes his shot*

Well, that's a new one. Two of mine and one of yours... Oh well, still my turn.

*Manages to get a few more in*

Your turn. You're a bit boxed in by three of my balls (only four left for me though). Let's see what you can do about that. I think I'm starting to get my game back. I doubt this'll be a 10-0 run.

Title: Re: Patrick and Dave's Beastro Bar
Post by: rooker1 on June 12, 2008, 04:33:13 PM
Okay Matt......I walk around the table thinking of a witty way to kick the only ball possible of hitting.  It looks like a three bank kick.  I lean over the table and take a few strokes and very nicely follow through with a little running right side english.  I hit my ball, but not enough power to hit a rail after contact.   Arrrghhhhh.  You get ball in hand again.
Your turn Matt, you had better make it good, I'm a little dissappionted in myself now and thinking of kicking it up a notch.
I sit down and take a sip of my grand marnia and than one of my cappiccino.
Robin  :satisfied:
Title: Re: Patrick and Dave's Beastro Bar
Post by: threestooges on June 12, 2008, 07:08:35 PM
Cappucino? I didn't know this place had that sort of stuff... I'll have to remember that. I can make a pretty mean one. Ah, no matter though. You're giving me ball in hand. I'm not too proud to take charity.

*Places the ball on the table and steadies his aim. Straight shot in just catching the side rail of the pocket. A three rail kick and it's right back where it started (much to my surprise) Three more go down and it's on to the 8.*

Well now... I won't be letting this one get away from me. Right corner pocket.

*Gestures with the cue, lines up the shot and strikes...*

I can't watch...

*Sound of a ball dropping into a pocket*

Disappear for a minute and all these hooligans crash the place and bring a pool table with them  ???  How did you got it thru the door, well, I'd rather not know. ()what() Matt and Robin, great to see you found your way here, I can see a pool comp in the making.

I see you've found the key to the beer fridge, and made yourself at home in the kitchen. No problems there, just make sure you cook enough for everyone,  my mouth is watering just looking at what has been dished up lately.  And feel free to stock the fridge with any beer you wish. And yep, we do coffee as well, although still looking for a full time barista.

Feel free to stock the place with anything you want, but make sure you clear it with Linda first (unofficially, just sneak it in the backdoor, I won't tell  $%#Ninj2)

And Joe,...... I'll leave you alone this time  ;)

Dave! Good to see you but, who're you calling a hooligan?

*look over at the pool table and back to Dave*

Well, I didn't bring it in, but you have to admit it looks pretty good where it is. Filasimo called 'winner' but I'd like to see what you've got some time.

*turns to table and quickly breaks*

I figured that, considering the occasion, a little extra food wouldn't hurt, and it seems to have gone down all right. At least no one has attempted to track me down yet... Good shot Robin... I think I'll leave the cooking in Pat's hands though unless you all need some extra help, but that barista job might not be bad at least part time to start. I just picked up a job for the summer so I'll be making sure I devote a fair bit of time to it (first job for the first summer of law school... I want to make a good impression), but there woud certainly be some perks.

*a few games pass during the course of the conversation, the score, trading back and forth, is now 6-5*

I learned the espresso process from a former boss of mine. He owns an Italian restaurant in Santa Barbara, CA. It was neat too... we'd get people in there who lived in Italy and they said it reminded them of home... it was good... if any of you all plan to go there, let me know I'll give you directions on how to get there... anyway, he was very specific as to how it was prepared. It's been a couple of years, but I think I still have it down. Count me in.

Oh, and I wouldn't try to sneak anything in just yet, Linda has eyes like a hawk.

*Turning back to the table I hit a rather wild shot that hits three balls, one of them being the 8, which goes in.*

It would have been nice if all my other balls were in before I did that... The score is now 7-6 in my favor Robin. Your break.

As I walk up to the table I notice all the people that are starting to gather around.  I think I see money being passed back and forth as well, I try not to think about it. I walk to the end of the table and have a look at the rack, the ball don't seem to be tight together.  I ask for a rerack,..... afterwards I look again and feel much better about it's setup this time.  I place the ball two inches away from the left side rail.  I stroke and play bottom right english and aim a full hit on the second ball in the rack.  My breathing slows down and with a mighty stroke, I follow straight through.  There a loud bang and some of the people rise from thier seats as they notice the 8 Ball heading straight for the right side, side pocket.  The 8 Ball drops and there is a very loud cheer as I have just won that game off the break.  I look over to you and give you a little smile of satisfaction.
I get ready to break again and nothing drops this time.........it's your turn and the score is now 8-6 in my favour.
We have now been playing for hours and I ask the very pretty server to get me a beer and a BLT sandwich.

Robin

Nice work there. *similing back in a good natured, irritated way* That's twice in two shots the 8 ball has dropped... I only wish mine was the same type as yours. But I think your scoring is a bit off, for those of you out there exchanging currency as we exchange shots. I believe the score is tied 7-each.

*Grabs a glass of water takes a quick drink and tries to figure out how that last break worked*

Oh well, I wanted a challenge...

*The break opens up the table, though nothing drops. Robin takes advantage of this and quickly drops six balls, the seventh being uncomfortably close to the 8 and the pocket. Playing it as safely as I can, I somehow manage to avoid giving him a decent shot and close the gap with a shot that pockets a ball and goes four rails to drop another (luck?)*

This game starts to take its toll on you after a while. I'll like a club sandwich please, when you have a moment. *said to the server who has just returned with Robin's order and gives him a bit of a smile as well*

Does she have money on the game? Oh well, no matter... let's see what I can do with this...

*The games trade back and forth. Periodic cheers are heard from various parts of the room as shots drop ball after ball. Whether it's endurance or both players are just warmed up now, the games stay fairly even, perhaps with Robin having a bit of an edge. The score is now 9-9 and the table is racked and ready.*

Are we playing win by 2 or just first to 10? Either way, I think it's your break now. Just don't go doing that 8-ball trick again... either way, this has been fun, but I'd like to have some sort of chance.

*periodic murmurs and money are traded among the crowd as the game gets set to begin.*

Sorry Matt about the mistake in the score.

Everyone is now very tense, including myself and I can see a bead of sweat run down your brow.  The room seems to become stuffy, I can really feel the pressure now.
We are both doing very well.
On your last shot, you leave your last stripe ball over the corner pocket.  Now it's my turn.  I take a carefull look around the table and start pocketing my balls.  I get to a point where your ball is blocking two of mine from the corner pocket.  I can't think of any way out of this situation, so I decide to play a safety and it works aces.

(https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg398.imageshack.us%2Fimg398%2F1523%2Fsafetyij2.jpg&hash=263249c97cd70d31c801ed97b879bb1428139d06)

This is the position I have left you in.

I return to my seat very happy with myself and take a bite of my sandwich.

Robin

PS.  The 8 Ball Break really works, exactly as I described it.  If anyone else plays alot of 8 Ball they confirm it also.  I have won mnay league games this way.

Oh, I know it works, I just can't do it... and don't worry about the score... I'm amazed I'm still in this thing.

*looks at the table*

Then again... I'm glad someone snapped this photo, a nice little historic document now. Where I usually play, jumping is permitted, though I'm hesitant to use it here on the new table... If I could still do a decent masse shot, I might be able to... *let's out an exasperated sigh as variations of shots run through his head* I know I shouldn't do this, but I'm going to defer to you. Is jumping allowed? If so, I'll just pop it up over yours, try to catch the edge of the rail to get the 11 in and hopefully open a path to the 8 (I do actually have decent control of my jump shot... it comes from watching too many of those trick pool competitions). Otherwise, I'll try curving it around the 8, try to pull off a 3 rail bank to at least catch the 11 and, if nothing else, mess with your next shot.

*As he explains he traces the proposed path with his cue*

In my opinion the masse shot would be easier than trying the jump.  Most jump shots travel at least 12" or more, because of the height of the balls.  Unless youare going to just scope the ball using bottoms which will surely ruin the table.

I think I would do your two rail shot or even the masse.
Good luck.
Robin
Title: Re: Patrick and Dave's Beastro Bar
Post by: threestooges on June 13, 2008, 11:05:33 AM
So it seems jumping isn't off the table (so to speak). Hmm... trouble is, I can't masse for beans anymore.

*Lines up the shot, gives the ball a good pop, it hops over the two solids, catches the edge of the rail and scoots back onto the table, tapping the 11 slowly toward the pocket. Before it has a chance to drop though, the cue ball takes its momentum off the three and drops into the side pocket first. Appearing to ignore, or not care about the scratch, he checks the table near the jump*

No visible damage, though I hope I never try that one again. *feels the tabletop* No marks on the slate either. Ball in hand Robin. Make it count.

Sorry about the delay there... the ball did drop. I hit the shot, the cue ball went in the side, and the 11 ball dropped afterward (I'm surpised it moved at all with how lightly it got tapped). *looks around, listening to the conversations and is surprised so many people are following the game* I'm afraid, Robin, that the table is quite open now. Frankly, I'm glad to have held on this long. After you took the first three, I didn't think I had a shot. So yeah, it's to you now. I'm waiting on the 8 and you have two to go. Filasimo, you wanted winner, I think were about to find out who that is. It all depends on these last few shots. Robin, let's see what you can do.

sounds like one hell of a battle good timing guys for i just got back to the squeaky hole from a nap but just made it to this last game. from the looks of it, table rules are BCS rules; ball in hand, implied shots with safety in play...sounds like my type of game. goes to cue rack and gets a 21 oz. stick (i actually use a 21 in RL when i play) and powders up and chalks up. looking forward to the outcome btw nice safety robin! usually when i dont have a shot i play defense which is trying to position the cue ball out of position to the opposing ball while still hitting my ball. its probably called safety but down here in the south we call it defense  :P

I think I can manage the cost of a round pat (though I think all these people have been running up tabs during the game, we should get a cut of that as 'entertainment'... just kidding), what about you Robin, winner buys a round sound ok?

Ryan, Jaeger and Red Bull? Are you trying to give yourself an edge? I don't think I'd be able to see straight after a thing like that.

Sorry guys, I had an important call .... ::)....but I'm here now.

So my three balls are up and they are wide open.
I place the cue ball on the table and sink a ball in the corner and than the other in the opposite corner and call the eight in the side pocket.  I get down and stroke the cue nice and slow and slow the breathing down as this is the shot of the day.  I follow through, the balls conect and I watch pateintly as the 8 ball rolls to the side pocket.  It seems like an enternatity.  The 8 ball slows down right in front of the side and people side stand to see if there is enough power behind the shot.
The 8 does drop and the game is over.
I walk over to Matt and give him a nice firm handshake and a thanks for the superb game.

I am all gamed out now and need a break after that exhausting match......someone else can have the table, but I'll be around much later for anyone else who ever wants a game.  ()stsfd()

I need a cappuccino, please and some breakfast.

Pat, hope we got the correct approvals for all these extensions and renovations  ;)

I'm not much of a pool player, snooker is my game. The basement seems to be empty at the moment, might put a full size table down there.

Well its evening here, so a chilli dawg, a beer or six and a good movie sounds good to me. Brought my own beanbag, I'll just plop myself in the corner. What are we watching Ricky Ricardo?

Snooker is a very hard game for those that can not control where the cue ball goes.
You must break first, obviously.
Next player either sinks and red than a colour or play a safety.  Hence the phrase,"You have been snookered".

*Startled by the sudden commotion in the room he looks up to see a familiar face by the bar*

Pat! Good to see you, and of course the bar is open. Robin, I'll take you up on that offer. *heads over to the coffee machine and begins his work*

I'll get yours first Pat (after all, you're partly why I have this position in the first place) *Turns his back and begins preparation. Things start fine, but soon the machine begins to vibrate and shake on the counter. What emanates from it is not so much of a liquid, but almost has a syrupy consistency. The scent of coffee quickly fills the room and a minute later the rather small looking drink is ready*

(https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Ftbn0.google.com%2Fimages%3Fq%3Dtbn%3Ak5UGfSdta3HY9M%3Ahttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.freefoto.com%2Fimages%2F09%2F16%2F09_16_1---Cappuccino_web.jpg&hash=159f03429aa2ab8734bdf8f7b53a71d14d25dcc0)

You wanted caffiene... you got it. Don't drink it too fast, it'll melt your teeth.

Everyone else, place your orders and, while you're doing that, I could use a quick bite to eat. Who's working the kitchen today?

I can't believe you were about to drink that whole thing... frankly I'm surprised the machine didn't explode, but as long as you enjoyed it, I'll take a sandwich. Surprise me on the type. *Wonders to self what exactly he's going to get as he watches Pat zoom into the kitchen*

That looks really good Pat.
I already have a couple of nice pieces of Filet Mignon marinading in the fridge for tonight on the BBQ.  When I get home I'll chill a few beers in the freezer.  So I'm already set my friend, I don't want to spoil my dinner.
I think for now though I will sit in the corner looking out the window sipping on my coffee.  ;)

Sorry I haven't been around much, just got back from Lake Tahoe, but I see things are well around here. I probably should have returned your helmet sooner, but here it is. *Doffs his helmet to his esteemed friend, complimenting him on a well made burger.*

Enjoy the Filet Robin. That sounds good. As for me, I've alreayd had dinner, but that chicken & waffle dish sounds good. They have a nice place for that near LA (link (http://www.roscoeschickenandwaffles.com/)) and they do a good job. Ah well... good to be back here.

Donning and doffing? Just one of the many pieces of information I've picked up throughout the years (all 23 of them). I probably picked it up from a book somewhere. At any rate, here's your helmet back for the next nut to order that thing. I'm glad to hear your summer has been well. I'm amazed at how fast it has gone... August 18 and school begins again... but what the hey, I'm kind of ready for it (until I'm assigned ___ hundred pages of reading in the first week).

Good news, I now have the file I need (or, at least it should be the one I need) to keep that pesky image distortion from occuring on export, so I may have a few things to show from all this time occupying your table. Well, I just got back from a fencing lesson not too long ago, so I may cut this short and call it a night soon, but rest assured, I'll be back soon (for those caffiene addicts out there). Take it easy guys.

So was it that script you needed to correct your issue or something else? Either way I could use a good shot of caffiene about now lol....

Post by: Pat on January 19, 2009, 12:37:52 AM
uggggh what bites its 2 am on Monday morning and I finally made way onto the computer for the first time!!! Sunday has been the day from H E double hockey sticks lol.... Can someone serve me up a double shot of something hard strong please???

Day started at a little after 940 am CST went to the pottie and then as I was about to get cleaned up for the shower my pager went off for a medical call around 1015!!! A lady that has 4 kids had fallen and smacked her head and she has some other health problems too... OK so that was CALL 1 and I wrapped that up around and just went on my business from there about 1130ish after returning our rescue squad to the station...

OK Ive been trying to work on my other vehicle which is a 90 Chevy blazer and its currently sitting out at our second fire station in the parking lot (not running still, timing went out and that had to be replaced) anyways I need another part for and well of course I nor my wife don't get paid till next Tuesday... So we have to get the truck moved back to my house and just finished finding someone that has a trailer to do that...

CALL 2 comes in for a Carbon Monoxide Alarm uuuuuugh.....  I get on the radio and ask the chief does he need more help and well me luck yuppers he does!!! So I go and get the our rescue squad again for this call, but this time I get to wear my full turn out gear ehehehe!!!!  OK so this happens at about 230 pm and we wrapp up the finding of the CO call around 330 pm and by this time my father in-law was mad at me!!! Why he was mad was because he was going to get the trailer and get the blazer...

My thing was I am sorry by chief told me he needed me!!! My wife backed me up on that plus I was ready with the trailer at a little after 1230pm but my brother in-law was out with my father in-laws truck and well it comes down the point my father in-law is old and forget full lol... He was supposed to call me when my brother in-law got back which was only 15 minutes later hmmmm...

OK so now its a little after 4pm I go and pick up my friend and we get his wife from Taco Bell cause she needed a ride home no problem...  We was going to do a double date dinner tonight of Meat Loaf yummies!!! my friend Jessie was going to cook it!!! God that man can cook!!! Anyways we run to his parents house and drop off something and then head off to my wife's work to get her and this is about 435 when over our pagers we hear a neighboring fire departments, yes I say departments getting a page for two diffrent fire calls!!! Both of these calls are house fires and whats sad this makes 3 house fires for the day in this county!!!

So the first one happend in Minocqua around 1030 this morning!!! The ambulance crews are always paged out with the fire departments for fires up here and for this fire the med 5 crew from Minocqua got to the house fire first and they are actually hero's!!! Yes that is right they saved the homeowners!!! OK so back to this evening Nokomis Fire Department got the page first for a fire and everyone was out on this one... Then as dispatch was giving directions to the Nokomis department they got the another call in Sugar Camp... Sugar Camp is right next to Pine Lake hmmm, yuppers you can see where I am going with this one!!!!

CALL 3 @ 455pm as I was sitting with Jessie I joked with him saying they will page us next for our tankers and sure enough in stereo where available the pagers go off!!! I turned the lights on the van and siren and pulled out and then Vicki called me and said what the heck am I doing, I replyed I am running to station 2 for tanker 2 with Jessie cause of a fully engulfed house fire in Sugar Camp Click....  Yess that is right I hung up on her hehehehe, I then handed the phone back to Jessie's wife and of course Vicki called back and i could hear her whining not fair I not done from work yet lol....

OK anyways that has been my sunday I got home finally after being gone from that call here not to long ago!!! Tell you what shuttling water in the winter sucks!!!  Ohh I walked in the door here finally after cleaning up the truck and filling it back up around 12am....

Sooooo someone someone anyone please!!!!!

(In my most whinniest voice ever)

A double shot of something???

Sounds like a busy day to say the least. But at least it's all for a good cause. Forget double... after a day like that, I think I can brew you up a triple. Cheers Pat, it's good to know there are people like you out there taking care of things.

Robin, if you're interested, I've been brushing up on my skills and would be interested in another game (or 10) if you're up for it, or perhaps I could interest you in a game of chess?

A wise man once told me, never shop for groceries or visit Patrick and Dave's Bar and Grill on an empty stomach. I come in here and the food smells and sounds so good, do you ship your more common items anywhere in the USA ;) In the meantime, I guess I will go put a burrito in the microwave :D

I am used to the cold weather here in the Midwest but maybe I can trick myself in thinking I am somewhere else, one Corona with lime wedge por favor

"Oh yeah, we're here Pat, don't mind us," he said from a table in the corner. A chess board sits between him and Robin, as both players focus intently on the game. "If you're taking orders, I'd love a burger... but not that big one again... couldn't move for a week after that thing."

OK now the dust cleared out and the lights actualy still work hmmm??? Sad news tonight I am going MIA for a few days as currently me and Vicki are planning a emergency trip to Victor MT....  Why its because her Uncle has been given the last call of 24-48 hrs so with that gaaaaaaaaah!!! What a way to met someone... At least Vicki doen't have her work to worry about as since she got fired a week ago and we'll the fire department is OK so they know we are gone... My boss at the Radio station is concerned and wants me to call him if we are on the road at the station at 4 am lol....  I know Vicki does have a laptop but connection I am not going to worry about as that may be sporadic at the most... OK so the doors here are open again and please everyone please clean up  ;)

Sorry trying to keep a little humor atm

I'm having some Baileys Shakes tonight with the wife.
6 to 8 oz. Baileys
12 Ice cubes
as much Icecream as you can fit in the blender
litlte Milk to get the right consistancy

I fill the entire blender, it makes about two or three drinks depending on the glass height.

Splendid new Pat. I know what you mean about GRV too... still about 60k left to go for me. I'll be on MSN tomorrow evening most likely, and on and off throughout the day. If you happen to see me, let me know and we can get started on things. I'll get in touch with Jon and see how he wants to handle things too.

As for you Robin, have a few more of those and let's go play some chess, heh heh. Actually those do sound pretty good. Nice way to beat the heat. Not sure what it is around your parts, but we've been hitting the 90's (30's C) lately around here. Makes for nice evenings (it's actually still pretty warm even now) but the days are toasty.

Hey Guys.....
Good to see you back in here Pat!
Yes Pat, let's get cracking.  Matt you can find me on MSN through the day as well.  I'll talk to Joe and Ralph and get things together on our side and meett you all in the middle.  $%Grinno$% Just kidding.  I wanted to sound all important too.  But still glad to help if needed (Matt)  ;)

Anyways guys.  That Baileys drink can be made with just about any icecream and just about anything else you like.  I don't really think of it as an alcoholic drink although we did finish the entire 750 ML bottle last night.....there was three other people. ;)
As for the weather "UP" here, it's below seasonal.   Not that I am complaining as I know the really hot days are coming.  They always do.  But with the new house I have central air and don't see it being a big problem like it use to be in the rentals before. ()stsfd()

Oh, you've been chatting with Ralph? Well let him know we'll need the first thing from the second thing... he'll know. It's for the third thing that didn't happen. While you're at it get the PHS ready and find us a good V/AES, but only if it's free. Only kidding there Robin, but thanks for the offer. I figured chatting about it here was easier than via PM.

Glad to hear the summer won't be quite so warm in your new place. Hope the little ones are doing well. Take it easy.

What does the bartender recommend? I'm in the mood for an IPA or porter, though I could be persuaded. Those wings look delicious!

Happy new year to You all!
OMG, honey bbq, i l o v e it...
It´s my first visit and it looks nice in here but, Pat: please don´t show pictures like this chicken wings to me, they look so damn tasty and i can´t get them anywhere here around. Now i´m really really hungry, and the only shop here is a Mac station...  :(  And i´m no big cook...

But i´ll drink a beer if You will give me one...
Cheers, Carl
