Title: Cleanitol, how does it work???
Post by: mba4u2c on August 23, 2008, 06:25:24 PM
I've seen all the great acclaims for cleanitol.  But I can't figure out how it works.  It just seems like a note with lists of lot names.  How does it help my to remove redundant files? How does it work???

Hello, mba4u2c!

The Cleanitol text files that come with BAT's and things like that are exactly what you think they are: simply a list of files.  To get them to work properly, you need the actual [BSC Cleanitol Tool] (http://sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=97).

Once you have it (or if you already had it) installed, simply open up the application, select the correct Cleanitol Text File where it tells you to select it, and it will move all of those files out of your plugins into a back-up folder...then it will tell you if you need to download a few dependencies or not.  It's really handy!
