Hi all, new to the forums and even to custom content on SC4. I think that what you guys do makes this game more replayable, and I would like to thank all of you for your work. I may even try it out myself! The problem I am having is with the Regional Tracking Mod. I dled it and I have found the file in my plug in folder but for some reason it does not ever pop the message in my news ticker. Can someone maybe tell me what the issue might be? I have also dled the CAM, NAM and all its addons, These are the only mods I have. I also am running a Height mod in this region due to it being needed. I have of course a TON of customer content.
Do you have the advisor popups turned on?
yes and all the others did pop up but no RTM guy. Unless maybe I missed it what exactly will the guy say?
Is there anyone out there that can assist me with this?
The Regional Tracker popup only appears at the opening of a city. The popup opens as you open a city and basically asks if you want to track the city, get a regional report or get a farming report. Thereafter it just does the tracking until the next time you open a city. There are no news ticker messages or other popups once you have opened a city.
for some reason the pop up is not occurring. Is it the standard pop-up like those for rewards and such? I have not seen it if it is and I have also deleted the one file and reinstalled it and still nothing. Is there something that I am possibly missing? Any help would be appreciated.
PS I do have the dependancy.
It only shows when you open a city and is not like a standard pop up. When you click on a city to open it you should see this:

If you do not select, Proceed to City the city is not tracked. The other options will only show information for tracked cities when you have developed the cities.
If you are not seeing this then I have no idea why not.
BOOHOO! Yeah I don't have that happen. I have the OG essentials and I have run the installer three times now to try and make it work. Damn I was hoping that it would happen. Well I will continue to mess around with it and see what happens.
EDIT: I figured it out upon a further search, and found the file listed on Simtropolis. There it is told in the file description that starting the game from a made (not from install) shortcut that it will not load mod. I then started the game from the start menu and viola! I wanted to add this information here incase someone goes looking for it at some point as I did.
I just had a thought. Do you have the simgoober Ritz Carlton lot? If so have you updated it as that was causing a conflict with the RTM?
Update the Ritz Carlton (http://sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=1617) if you haven't and see if that works.
