Hello Jack_wilds here, if anyone is of a mind to aid in this I would appreciate it.
The crash occurs without warning and it seems to be worse with the 'pre-made tutorial cities' more than my own made cities. I have deleted and reloaded SC4 with upgrades and then reloaded NAM/SAM, three times already. I have a plug-ins file of 2.75gb. (I think I have answered my own question) Also it seems that SC4 runs better with out MS-messenger running in the back round and with all security programs off and other ram sucking not in use processes.
Here is a abbreviated typical exception report hopefully this can shed some light on things(having several similar to this).

What are '*.pdb' files?
is this related to the tutorials?
So then if anyone has any thoughts...greatly appreciated
later,
Jack
Umm, I am almost certain that *.PDB files are program files used by Palm PDAs and smartphones. I don't know about the newer programs and operating systems, but my PDA has PalmOS 5 something and it uses *.PDB files for its programs.
Its website is here (http://www.palm.com/us/).
I don't know how that could be relevant to your problem, or how *.PDB files come into play with your problems.
Hey Nerdly dood,
thanks for the thoughts, and yes I have a palm zire 71/72 models and it shouldn't be a factor here (both are nonoperational), and yes as soon as I read the reply it dawned on me where I saw those extensions. However a new wrinkle is that SC4 isn't crashing as often but it is still occurring suddenly, with similar if not the same exception 'access violations' reports.
Do you know what ccApp is? sometimes when I am shutting down windows it says that it also has to shut this 'shadow program' down maybe this is interfering with SC4 operations. It is funny as soon as I get some guts to go beyond and be a batter that issues are cropping up -oh well such is life in the north-woods.
