Title: How do you turn degradation overide on in 3DSmax?
Post by: Glenni on September 26, 2008, 01:22:44 AM
You lot know which button i mean right?
it's the button you find on the user interface somewhat at the bottom of the BAT interface.
It degrades your model into it's basic wiremesh when you move/roate/zoom the camera, removing much of the strain and load time it would otherwise take to move/roate/zoom the camera with the full model with textures being displayed and everything. Now the big question is, where is this button in 3dsmax 7?   &mmm  I really want to find out, because this is what is majorly responsible for me putting my biggest model projects on hold! :D

It should be pretty much in the same location as in GMAX - at the bottom under Animation timeline., At least newer version of it  - Adaptive Degradation in Max2008 is there. Shortcut for it is "o"
But the best advise would be to go to MAX help  type there Degradation and see what the tide will bring in.
