I would really like to delete this rail base texture (which also applies to roads, streets, OWRs and avenues in farm and landfill zones) because although it's awesome for orthagonal stretches, it is UGLY in diagonal areas. The problem is I've been searching through my plugins folders and I have no idea what the filename is that I'm looking for. I am CERTAIN that this one is NOT the PEG Alternate Railway Set because I tried it and its edge dirt textures didn't show up on zoom 3 or 4 and it removes the dirt from diagonals, but I have a set of diagonal fillers for the standard Maxis dirt to smooth the jagged edges.

Yes that is a GIF - kinda random i know...
It's part of one of Jeronij's Sidewalk files. Try looking for JRJ files in your plugins. Chances are though, the files for the dirt sidewalks won't be in a standalone file. They are probably combined into a DAT with the other sidewalk textures he did.

Oh so that came with his Street Side Mod! Hmm...
[searches through the folder the Street Side Mod is installed in]
I remember deleting the sidewalk textures from my street side mod folder and I still get them in-game... The sidewalk textures are not in the street side mod folder like they were when I installed them (I'm sure of this) so perhaps I could download the sidewalk textures and search for the DAT files manually...?
[tries it]
Okay so I found the texture I was looking for. Now I just have to search for it and purge it from my hard drive...
Aaaaand... the only files with the filename "JRJ SidewalksV3_Rural_Sidewalk.dat" is in the Zip folder I just downloaded from the LEX and on my desktop (I put one there to identify it with Reader) and they are NOT in my plugins folders at all! I have no reason to re-name something unless I have to change the loading order... and I didn't change the loading order for this i know for sure... the only alternative I know of is to usse a different dirt texture and if there aren't any others... then I'll make one... %bur2$
AHAA! EUREKA!
The sidewalk textures I got were with the streetside mod which has a different filename from the ones in the separate sidewalk mod (the sidewalk changes are the same) so that is another one to search for...
Okay so SEVERAL (aka 14) were found with a similar filename... I have to look at the one I preserved as being the one I want to keep tomorrow and see if it is the one with the textures I want to get rid of... (I deleted the others)
