it would be cool if somewon could make a full-scale map of Colorado Springs (my home town) with Pikes Peak and Chyenn mountain w/ the config to be all medium citys,
and also make it so it goes into SimCity Mapper
(i know its alot to ask)

To install the SC4M map file:
1. If you don't already have SC4Mapper, download it here (http://www.simtropolis.com/forum/messageview.cfm?catid=355&threadid=83832&enterthread=y) and follow the install instructions.
2. Unzip this file.
3. Run SC4Mapper, click on 'create region'
4. Choose SC4M
5. Browse to the unzipped folder and point the map file .SC4M
6. Click on 'Save Region' and name it, and Quit SC4Mapper
7. Run SC4 and load the new region. The colors of the region in SC4 will be the same colors as SC4Mapper until you enter and save each city tile. But you have the choice to do it as you go and not right away.
Start opening tiles!
;D
btw all tiles are medium...
Oh well, guess I uploaded it for nothing then......
you can upload it if you want, variety is better ;)
I did upload it only to see you made nearly the exact same map I did.
And I did? just curiosity :D
Thanks! :) :) :) :) :)

No need to jump to conclusions. Hebs and I are good friends and have been since he joined NHP nearly 2 years ago. Besides, people have been asking for that CS map of mine for quite some time ;) but with the 100 or so maps I have completed waiting for release, it got lost in the shuffle.
Jesshhh.... I was just kidding. No need for you to jump to conclusions! $%Grinno$%

i dont blame em, it has plenty of open space then huge steep slopes up to a plaetu, then pikes peak, which is so high it gets all screwey! that reminds me, is there a mod that fixes that? i think i herd of one before
What do you mean by all screwy?
its glitchy , u cant see it.

How about a pic?
well at the moment im having trouble uploading pics, plus i have dialup so it would take literaly 45min, ill describe,
the terrein is too high soyou cant see any of Pikes Peak, or download it to see,
Hi, marsh!
I don't know if this will help, but give this a try: High Altitude Patch (http://sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=1807).
I've never used it, so I don't exactly know what it does, but maybe it'll help you out.
Good luck!
Dustin

Hi, marsh!

Make sure you read the readme for this because I believe it only works with certain terrain mods. I personally could not get it to work on my machine. I am thinking it is an issue with the graphics on my computer. If the mod doesn't work for you then lower the entire map 900 meters and it will be fine.
Ah, ok, no pic is needed then, now that I know what you meant. For some odd reason, users have this issue with mountainous maps while I don't. If you look at regional pic I provided with the release, you can see the mountain tops just fine, but everyone else can't. So, the only thing I can tell you is try lowering the elevation 900M with sc4tf [like papab2000 just mentioned in the post above mine], making sure you un-protect all tiles on the map [of course any development started will be wiped out], then try rendering again.
I cant lower the map any more, the bottom right corner is almost water (nogrid) :o
How much did you lower it? The lowest elevation on that map is 1695.3M...lower it 900M would still leave you 540M above sea level in the game......
its lowered already, i did it before to put the map download... the min elevation is 250, and max i think is about 3,500 (cant remember)
Hebs, depends on which version he dl'd.......by the way marsh, what version did you dl?
Edit: If you downloaded Heblem's version, then that explains the water issue. ;)
