Hi!
I know that this might not be the right place to post this question but I am starting to be realy desparated...
Anyhow the problem is: We need to un-instal service pack 2 for Windows XP Pro from one of the computers prior to reinstaling them back and we have no idea how to do that (besides that I failed to find anything useful in that departement on the net). Using the Service Pack 3 is not an option at this time, since the computer cant be connected to the internet and I am having problems downloading that particular package. &Thk/(
So preaty please with the cherry on top, can somebody tell me how to unistal that pack? For any hint about that I would be uttermost grateful, thank you.
Best Regards
Lilojame
If Service Pack 2 came with your PC, it's likely you can't uninstall it, however it may show up in Add or Remove Programs. (Well, Service Pack 3 does.)
The service pack cannot be "uninstalled" unless you saved a "restore point" before you put it in.. and even then if you didn't have adequate free drive space you may not be able to do it.. Easiest way is reinstall XP wihtout it.. frankly if you have problems with SP2 you have some serious problems with your situatiion anyways.. SP2 has no history of any problems.
If Service Pack 2 was installed after Windows XP, it shows up as a program on Add or Remove Programs. Restore points are not necessary.
