Title: A question about size

Hi,
I've a huge model and I've tried to export it several times but without succes, indeed it's 1800m long. So I would like to know if it's possible to export it with gmax and how to do it. I think it's possible because I've seen in the Japanese Bat Gallery buildings that were 2km high an there is a aircraft carrier that is 1km long but I don't know how they exported it, so if somebody could give me an answer. Thanks.

The larger a model is, the longer it takes to render.  That said, a model that's 112+ tiles long would take forever, unless you had a monster rendering machine.  If I was going to do this, I'd split the model in sections, rendering each separately, then put them together in the LE.  Also, with a model this big, you'll need to do some creative lot modding to get the LE to see it (if it will at all).  Cheers!

I honestly think it is about the amount of RAM/memory (don't know the terms... ;D) of your computer. I know that I once tried to export a small tower (about 25 stories) with BAT/Gmax. My computer stalled, and I lost my file. Yet, I know that Cockatoo-210893 of HKABT, he uses Gmax, and exports some pretty huge towers! I asked him once 'how do you export this huge towers?'. His answer was that he works really on his textures, and tries to use as little actual 3D objects as possible.

For example, take a look at this (http://www.stex-server.com/lots/cockatoo-210893/cockatoo-210893_hk%20admiralty%20centre/HKAC2%2Ejpg) model. Looks very detailed, right? Well, it is actually mostly textures, therefore the BATter (Cockatoo) was able to cut memory usage in half because of not using actual splines and 3D objects. I am terrible at photoshopping textures though, so my models aren't done this way, but I switched to 3ds max, which is faster (but very expensive... :().
