Post by: Earth quake on December 04, 2008, 12:23:32 PM
Good morning and welcome in my BAT thread.

In this thread, you will see my different creations for sim city 4.
I haven't a specific style of BATs, perhaps I like to bat some commercial BATs (for Suburban malls or Commercial aera. I also really like the English and Breton style of the Fifties and Sixties.

Projects:

Under construction

Ps: I have an other Pseudo which was Vivydu29, so when I will uploade my futur BAT, It was on Vivydu29 and every of my bats will started with TSC V29 [name of the BAT]

One critique would be the glass entrance....no store would a) have a glass roof that large and b) have an entrance that size, it's just taking up space that could be used for product.

Wow, it's long time that I not posted in this topic. :-[

Because of the ITC team's disappearing, my bat topic has moved in the TSC creation. ;)

My new project is a british supermarket, a Sainsbury's inspired  by that of Christchurch in Dorset.

This bat have a complex roof but it's really beautiful. The bat's silhouette it's finished but He needs numerous details.

After some months without batted, I come back with new things:

> Kermahonnet:

The first BAT that I make is a small countryside house built during the fifties:

(https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg4.hostingpics.net%2Fpics%2F412442Kermahonnetversionfinale.png&hash=202db3db6630460bb5ee0e3cfd88b9f3dc96a1c6)

Besides, in addition of the house, I have also made a garage:

(https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg4.hostingpics.net%2Fpics%2F965254Kermahonnetgarageversionfinale.png&hash=f75bb2b42be20afc7f0e2ed126ad8760f4286015)

I exported the garage to see if it wasn't too small, and as you can see, It's enough wide to "allow" pass a Simcity 4's cars like the Orange, CP , Heblem and Mikeseith's cars

(https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg4.hostingpics.net%2Fpics%2F965052everycarscangoinmygarage.png&hash=24f8eaba98273b0e2fcbbe582ada47efe2c297fc)

The red car is the C.P.'s car
The green car is the Orange's car
The black car  is the LBT's car
The orange car is the Mikeseith's car

The Bat was exported and the Lot have done (there is 5 lots):

(https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg11.hostingpics.net%2Fpics%2F956450Lotdelamaisonrichesse.png&hash=f722b9de1e3e52ae425489462665fb96e11acde1)

+ a night view in-game:

> C.G.C (chauffage et Gaz de Cornouailles)

The second BAT that I've done is the C.G.C which means Chauffage et Gaz de Cornouailles, in french and Heating and Gaz of Cornouailles in english. The store sells gas ( in bottled), but mainly radiators and other items for heating.

(https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg4.hostingpics.net%2Fpics%2F445356CGCversionfinalepart1.png&hash=6da98cad214f494ee5ac63cec00d62791bd703eb)

It is finished but not exported.

> Garage Kermoguer

the third  bat is a small car repair, called Garage Kermoguer:

(https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg4.hostingpics.net%2Fpics%2F892876GarageKermoguer.png&hash=737044d60e818c1ebe9d43a14c2ea4cbf1cb4432)

It is also export and the lot is also done:

(https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg11.hostingpics.net%2Fpics%2F995709Garagevuedanssc4.png&hash=4dd0ff13d64bb8be3b0b1bc4d6dda6f376793d08)

It is a CS$

> Boucherie Baunard:

This Shop is a butcher and it is a W2W Corner. The buildings was built during the fifities and it's a exemple of the Britton Urban Shops built between 1950 and 1960:

(https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg11.hostingpics.net%2Fpics%2F488622Boucherievuedejourversionpresquefinale.png&hash=3402c66ac7525f9237279cf7c700e23ee726ddef)

However, I have some problem with the lighting of the building as you can see:

(https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg11.hostingpics.net%2Fpics%2F546986Boucherievuedenuit.png&hash=8dcc957e3c00182108e99fc9a00e24abaf23b452)

> Roc Bihan

The last Bat that I start is a house for your the $$ and $$$ sims. The stye of the house is called Neo-breton because the architects of these type of house take theirs inspirations of the Stone house and others Britton Penty built during the XIX century and during the first part of the XX century. These type architecture was very popular between 1965 and 1990 and there is a lot of houses like this in Brittany:

(https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg11.hostingpics.net%2Fpics%2F252814RocBhianasesdbuts.png&hash=3a16f835e948753fa16eb9b43bd9a103b2c904db)

They missing some gutters, some gutters and the texture, but the models is here.

Update of the 14/07/11

Today it's the 14th July, so I wish you  at every French members of SC4 Devotion a great and nice National day.

Then, I have some news today:

> Boucherie Baunard

I finally solved the lights problems of the building and I found a result that convinced me:

(https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg11.hostingpics.net%2Fpics%2F658890Boucherievuedenuit.png&hash=1526f89b27e911e5b280638b50f1bcbaa471eb87)

I don't made lights inside the Butcher because I have a bug that I can not fix, so I prefer to leave it like that. This BAT is nearly finished, since I have just to ended the terrace

> Roc Bihan

The BAT is also finished and ready to be exported.
(https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg11.hostingpics.net%2Fpics%2F809606RocBihanversionfinalevuedejour.png&hash=a7bc1148f523b4de65fd24bc7e307b32839ff3fe)

As you can see, there are 2 version of the BATs. The first is an orthogonal version and the second is an diagonal version. This will allow me more freedom and more possibility when I would make the lots.

This BAT is the first of a long series of Breton houses (20 overall) that I hope finish before Christmas.

SC4 was in need for Briton's style but now that you've start it, you can't escape before building a typical church, a townhall (maybe a school and a station ???).

Since with already have the Gendarmerie, the hospital and ........ the clouds !!  :D

Small houses look sensational. You see a lot of fine detail and magnitude of work with textures. Perfectly suited to the rural atmosphere. Are they available for download somewhere? If so, I would ask for contact details on them. Again, excellent job.

Une ame: Don't forget that Sim city 4 miss one thing: the rain.  :D
Without this, the Brittany isn't the Brittany.
The time passes (thank you the french high school and his schedules x-x) but still I haven't stopped the bat. For 5 months (yet) I have finished to lot the C.G.C, Roc Bihan and I have made two other Bats and one Lot. You can see that I haven't lost my time. ^^

The bat is a CS$$ and is available in 3 three lots.
The first is a lot of 2 * 2 for village, with a garden for the managers and a small backyard whith some boxes as gas cylinders (and gasoline).

The second is an urban version of the 2 * 2 with the disappearance of the garden in favor of a larger back yard with a direct access to the street.

the third version is a bigger lot (2 * 3) and a mix of the two versions. There is a garden too, but also a much bigger backyard. That's a lot for mid-sized cities.

> 60's Debenhams Departement Store
So here is a relotted version of GaryReggae's Debenhams (I hope you will like, Gary ^^), available in his prop pack on the LEX.
This store is very common in England, but may be used as shopping arcade for your city, because this type of BAT, built in the 60s, is quite common in our urban center.
Some pictures:

It's also a CS$$ with a lot is 6 * 7, which is quite big. I had a little problem for the backyard because the LODs's BAT aren't really great.

> 63-64 Avenue de la France Libre, Quimper

The 63 Avenue de la France Libre are two old houses that were in ruins. They were destroyed last week to be replace by a school. So I decided to bat them for restored them , although again I deliberately keep the dirty side:

(https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg15.hostingpics.net%2Fpics%2F7683386363terAvenuedelaFranceLibre.png&hash=772d62ec511071dec5b031f5808ced5128cf4454)

The 64 Avenue de la France libre was a garage (or an established of the school next it), which was demolished with the house.
I decided to keep the dirty side and a little run down for more realism. The Garage can be used both in town and in rural aera

(https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg15.hostingpics.net%2Fpics%2F88380763qtreAvenuedelaFranceLibre.png&hash=212f99b32ad6b118267ac97e3f54e56e09d2616e)

> Roc Bihan

His lotting is finsihed and is ready to be upload. The Bat have 8 lots (4 in R$$ and 3 in R$$$), inspired of Britton's gardens.

Here two lots in 2 * 2, for your suburban:

Then the lot 2 * 3, also for the urban focus, but with a larger garden(I can see it in a village or in a less dense urban areas):

And finally a 4 * 5 lot, more large, with a pool and a park. The lot is inspired by a garden of a house next to my house)

> Boucherie Baunard

After long hesitation, I decided to keep the terrace as such, because I could not find suitable plants. So I hope that it will not seem too empty.
The download will consist of  4 lots in $$ and will be in Commercial Service.

Here 2 lots in 1 * 2, one with a small garden and the other with a backyard.
