Hey everyone, I've been looking around the LEX, and after a few confusing moments, I have a few things that I'd like to see improved...
Could the Creator / Designer List in the Power Search be alphabetized? I'm assuming right now it's organized by popularity or by number of files uploaded by the creator, but seriously, It would make searching faster if it would just list the names in alphabetical order like all the other lists.
The second thing is, when I get my search results, could it put the individual results in a box so I can see the separation between one file's listing and the next? Occasionally the results like to huddle together closer than they normally do, so it looks like the more info / download button for the result above would go for the result below, resulting in quite a bit of confusion. It'd be nice if there was a separator between the results, or the individual results be in a box similar to how they are when generally browsing.
I'm trying not to sound demanding on this, because most of the time I don't have that many issues with browsing the site, but these issues have been picking at me for the past few months, which is why I'm posting here, to see if I'm not the only one who's irritated by these issues.
So I have have to ask, could these little issues be changed or fixed?
Rymac, development on the LEX software is on hold at the moment, due to RL issues. These are commonly requested items and noted as such. When someone can get to it, we will let you all know.
And as a side note, I think the LEX creator list is by order of when you first uploaded. ::)
Also, there's an easy workaround with the LEX search, which Jonathan (warrior) figured out awhile ago. If you see the little "Google Custom Search" box toward the top, just below the "Home" button on the top navbar, type the following in:
site:http://sc4devotion.com/csxlex KEYWORD
Where KEYWORD is the thing you want to search for. You'll need to be logged into the LEX when doing it in order to download the files, but as long as you've done that, it works like a charm.

I wrote a simple greasemonkey (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greasemonkey)(firefox only) script that adds a textbox and button to the power search page that allows to search the LEX with google, if jeronij doesn't mind I can upload it somewhere.
I also made a very simple script that when you go to "http://sc4devotion.com/csxlex/Default.htm" (the page that appears when you click on the LEX buttons around the site) it redirects to "http://sc4devotion.com/csxlex/fr_main.htm" (the main page of the LEX), because the LEX remembers you(you don't actually need to type your password in every time), and if you haven't typed you password in on the machine it will tell you there's an error(so you can't access the LEX anonimously.
