Hi all,
I didn't like a mountain in one of my cities so I decided to flatten it to clear up space for building. I started terraforming and somewhere in it's middle the game crashed. I started the game again and used the road level technique but the game crashed again. I tried to put zones over that problem place but the game crashed again. What can I do? &hlp
Does it happen everywhere in your city or only in this special place?
(If you want to know if game crashes during terraforming in another places too, and you don't want to destroy your developed city, open an empty one and check what will happen.)

It happens only on this place.
I had something similar happen to me in one of my cities. Every time I tried to lower the terrain, CTD.
The only thing I could come up with (not confirmed, just hunch) was that I switched terrain mods in the middle of working on the city. It affected all the cities in the region too, not just the current one. Unfortunately I ended up having to stop working on the region, but it wasn't very developed yet, so I just started over.
Does the CTD happen immediately when you stert terraforming in the particular place or after some terraforming? If it doesn't happen at once, maybe you can make some trraforming, save the city and then try again?
It is also possible that your mountain is higher than the maximum height available in your terrain mod (however it didn't cause a CTD in my cities, but it is posible).
- Do you know how to use Terrain Query? (type Ctrl X, then type terrainquery in the command window in top left screen corner, then Enter). Use it and check the height of your mountain (look at the y value). Then tell us how high is the mountain and which terrain mod do you use.
