Hello,
Due to switching computers and not being able to retrieve my old plugins folder I'm going to have to start all over again and it's quite the daunting task. I'd like to impose on anybody that has a nice sized plugin folder 3+GB with as few missing dependencies as possible to maybe zip up their plugin folder and upload it to http://www.yourteacup.com/
Then PM or write here in this thread the download url they give you for the file(s) you uploaded. The maximum file upload size is 5GB so if you are like I was and a real lover of custom content and your Plugins folder is larger than 5GB, then please just split it up into two sections zipping up each one and upload the two files and give me the two urls to download the two files.
I would be eternally grateful if someone would be kind enough to take a little time out of their busy lives to do this for me.
Obviously, if you have anything in your plugins that you had to actually pay a site for, then you would natrually be excluded from helping me out as I don't want anything for free that you've had to pay for.
I hope someone can help me out with this so that I can get up and running as fast as possible again.
There is nothing specific that I need, my last plugins folder was chocked full of a mish mosh of pretty much everything.
I'd prefer to get the "uncompressed" plugins but if all you have is a datpacked plugins, well... Beggars can't be choosers right.
Thanks ever so much in advance if you can help.
Adam
P.S. Obviously anybody that is on dialup shouldn't try to help as it would take days to upload a large plugins folder, and I suggest using their advanced uploader as it lets you actually see the progress of the upload so you're not left guessing if it's stalled out or not.
CityBuilder is on vacation. DO NOT MAKE THESE TYPE OF REQUESTS OR YOU WILL FIND YOURSELF ON VACATION TOO
Eh....what?
::looks down::
Oh, deary my!!!
::zips up plugins folder::
Sorry about that. . . I must have forgot. . . &ops
Oh, and hey, if I'm not mistaken isn't this request sort of, well, problematic? I've heard that this sort of things isn't much appreciated. . .

If caught sending files like this, users could be banned. It's best to download the files yourself from websites such as this one instead of asking for files to be passed around. It's considered stealing or piracy to distribute files without the original authors' permission.

CityBuilder is having a vacation from SC4Devotion. He has been warned about this before.
As Swamper77 said this sort of request is not permitted in the community as all the files are freely available on one exchange or another.
gosh... I thought it was rediculous when I saw that request!
eh? just use a dvd...
hope this helps.
Far as using a DVD what would you mean by that there blakesterville? If you are saying to share your files with someone like that its still not acceptable at all by the community standerds...
But if you are saying to back up your plugins that way then yes its a great idea to back up using a DVD... Or heck just donate to SC4D and get the best DVD contents out there... :thumbsup:
I think he may have been referring to the LEX DVD... but idk. I've had my plugins floating around on one hard drive or another since my last computer episode (Curse you microsoft!) and I currently have them reserved on two hard drives, one of which is in my current computer waiting for me to buy and install a new copy of SC4.
Still though, it seems a bit wimpy to have to ask for someone to send you their entire plugins folder. I don't know about you but wouldn't it be a bit difficult to zip up a plugins folder as packed as mine (about 2.3GB) and try to send it to someone? I'm not aware of any services that would let you do that for under a dollar except mailing them a flash drive with their plugins on it... %wrd
