Post by: patch_110 on February 27, 2009, 03:43:20 PM
Hi I have a problem with DAMN in that when i add new sets i cant update with the indexer program. Click the link for a pictuer which explains the problem better

i have tried re-installing the program several times but it just does the same.

Umm... elevate program permissions to administrator status by going into the program properties and setting it using the compatibility tab. Vista tends to have problems with that (especially with SC4Tool).

You must be administrator (on Vista most users should Administrators,as the Standard are useless compared to the Admins)
To set the permissions, you need to click Edit, then go through any UAC pop ups, and in the dialog that pops up click Add... then Type "Everyone" (without quotes) in the big textbox, and then click ok.
Then select Everyone, and tick the full control box.

If it still doesn't work, you can try SSPTool: http://sc4devotion.com/forums/index.php?topic=6818.0

There are some DAMN tools inside, including an editor. Since this is Java based, it may have a better shot, but you'll probably still have to run it with admin privilliges.

Hi i have tried warriors and dealeys answers but still not getting anywhere. ssptool says damn has been installed but when i look for it in the plugins it is not there.
maybe should give up lol

Hav found a workaround i think. If i move my complete damn folder too my desktop it works with no problems at all. Wierd %confuso
