Title: The Sim City DVD
Post by: dahemac on March 30, 2009, 01:06:05 PM
I would sure like to put the Sim City DVD away. I play a bit of Sim City several times a week and I think that the DVD has been in my drive most of the time for six months. I would rather play the game without it in there. Is this possible?

Have you tried using Disk Utility to create an image of the disk and mount that in place of the disk?  It's perfectly legal to do so as long as you own the original game.  Other than that, there's no other way that we can assist.

Thanks, callagrafx. It looks like that is going to work.

I do the same thing on my PowerBook (actually it is a copy of the DVD, which is stored in its case in a safe place) and on my parents' iMac it is a disk image.
