Here is my Challenge 3 setup.
Quote«« Governor Freddy Bison called all Mayors in an Emergency Meeting to the Capitol City. It is to inform them about the political situation that the region is suffering at the moment.
"Ladies and Gentlemen" as he started the speech with a lowtoned worried voice, " we have a serious political problem in our region of Grand River. Last night a group of heavily armed political Separatists decided to cut off every acces to the opposite side to the Grand River region, cutting our region into two equal halves, the north and south. Since this has become a very fragile international situation, we are heavily watched over on how we handle this matter. For the moment we cannot do anything more than continue to just govern our half of the region only and leaving the rest to our separatists until hopefully things will calm down and negociations will come to a mutual agreement and end this dispute for once and all. Meanwhile let's do the best we can, not only to govern our regionhalf, but also to avoid any unnecessary violent confrontation with the Separatists." Governor Bison sadly announced. »»
And here is the latest news on GRVII Bordertown Online

QuoteFor now your challenge is to determine which side (north or south) you choose to continue to fully govern by yourself.
Obviously I choose to control the North, where most of the land richnesses are, like ore and other minerals, but specially water, leaving for the time being, the plains to the Separatists.
QuotePlus, to make things a little more complicated, you will build another Route starting somewhere and finishing somewhere else. You can start it from another route or from anyplace of the neighboring region and have it ended anywhere where you want it, whether it is in conjunction of another route, crossing it or connected to the neighboring region or simply ending.....nowhere in a cul-de-sac (end of road). It can be build in either halves (north or south), whether your own part that you will govern or your oponent's part. If so in the oponent's part, it might give you mutual advantages later. Bridges are allowed to be build under the conditions mentioned in part 3 below only. Give it an official number please.
Here is the road map as it is after the separation. The plan was to the new road (F20) to go through Tle F, cross the river towards tile I (the only tiles without road network, and leaving to the neighbouring region or cross to Tile M to connect to Route 10. With the Separatists controlling now the south side, plans had to be changed and the road followed the cost line and connected to Route 10 on Tile L.

QuoteA few pictures (3 minimum and 5 maximum) in any mayorview of what you have been building in your region before and/or after the separation, including at least one picture of your maintown (whether in your half or the oponent's half and if you have a town on each side we want 2 pics, one each) in a view that we can see the whole municipality in one picture, and explaining us on which lettered citytile it was constructed in, then explain why you chose that geographical area to build the maincity on. Show us your best parts of what you have done sofar, except the other challenges.
Image 1 This was the region first city, that dates from the Medium Age and it's fortified by tall walls. Main resources are farming and fishing. There's also some timberwood explorations up in the mountains.

Image 2Outside the walls, farming fields and this little fishing village were the life support of its inhabitants.

Image 4On tile A, we have also two of the oldest villages in the region. Farming and timber are the main resources on this area, but up north we can also find, a gold mine.

Image 5On Tile C we find the biggest city in the region which is mainly industrial. Main resources are minerals found in the mountains.

QuoteAll bridges, except for one major Roadbridge only (if possible in your main-town), have to be cut off completely without destroying the actual bridge, but interrupting the connection of the road/rail tiles on the oponents side of the Grand River, and that we can see it in the regional view above (no 1.) No open (connected) rail connection to your oponent's land is allowed neither until things have settled down. This line has to be cut off also. You have to make a gap of minimum 2 road/rail tiles separated from the bridge, and we want to see a close up picture each bridge (mayorview 3,4 or 5 only) of every gaps (every bridge) showing us with a part of the bridge in the same picture. Please create this close to the bridge and on oponent's side. How you will do it, the originality, lots used, will determine the pointage, plus maybe a Bonus point for originality. Let's say show us as if the separatists whether blew up the road, made a gate, a fence, blockage, wall etc on the road, but the actual road and railtiles should not be visible for 2 Gridtiles. Any other lots or textures can replace the road/rail tiles though.
(hint) Maybe the use of some small military or governmental lots might be useful here without building a base of any kind. Or any *parkgroundtextured* lots only in between the connections. This is supposed to be temporary, please remember this when building or destroying.
Bridge 1 (GRVII Rail Line) The railway line was completely cut off at the Separatists side and it's guarded by an Outpost.

Bridge 2 (Route F10) This road was completely cut off at the Separatists side and is heavily guarded by a small Outpost.

Bridge 3 (Route R10) This is now the only route to the south side, as it wasn't destroyed, but it is heavily guarded on both sides by both North and South Militar Forces which have mounted 2 outposts.

Now, let's see who's gonna give me an headache for next challenge $%Grinno$%
Ha, ha, ha. I do hope it is me $%Grinno$% ::) $%Grinno$%
Thank you for your update.
We have now taken note and copied the pictures of your challenge 3, it will be judged after the deadline.
Now you can do whatever you wish to do within your regionhalf only, but make sure not to overbuild it comparing to the rest of the region. It might give you some serious problems later on.
You do NOT have the right to touch anything of the part that belongs to the Separatists.
Challenge 4 will be partially given by your adversary and you will give a challenge to someone else. Who will be challenging who and the matter of the challenge will be discussed in the Challenge 4 thread once everyone has turned in their part of this challenge.
Are you ready to be told what to do by a Separatist and a Governor? Good luck and we hope you enjoyed this one.
Lynn and Fred

Looks like we're not giving orders to eachother &mmm
Instead I'll receive orders from a cat who drinks tea, and give orders to a DJ who puts fires off :D When I was a DJ, I use to sef fires on, not off $%Grinno$%
Challenges are getting harder to do, so does the judging, and we soon need more time to judge the challenges. I know this took awhile but we have been working on it for quite awhile and since our judging is being done separately, we have to bring them together before presenting the final results. Thank you for being patient. So here they are.
A. Because of a lot of prior coverage of the region, not much room was left to logically place another route, you have well chose the new route F20, but it could have better while turning it southward over abridge to cover tile I also to have made it perfect. Very well done. We gave you 4 points for the route challenge.
B. The story, details and conceipt of the interupted rails are amazing, pictures are nicley done also. Although it specifically said in the challenge 3 that the separation was done subitly and you have built several longterm buildings, we could not resist to give you the max points the same, because it was almost worth more. Fine details and much work put into it were worth 5 points for the cutoff challenge.
C. Your region is developping very nicely. The village are good looking and so south-european. We gave you a solid 4 points for your regional works.
A Total of 13 Points were added to your challenge.
Good looking terraindetails that will surely give you max points in an upcomming challenge. Very good work and good luck with the separatists.
Lynn and Fred.
