I've recently reinstalled SC4 and ran across NAM GLR Station Patch zip. Is it still a necessary file with the March 2009 release?

The GLR station patches are intended to modify the GLR stations, so you can plop them on draggable GLR. I think most stations were either updated, or released for draggable GLR anyway. Some older stations might not work that way, though, for those you can install the appropriate patch from that ZIP.
