Title: Tarkusian GRV II-Challenge 2
Post by: Tarkus on April 11, 2009, 08:48:48 PM
Here is Port Cougar Multi-Modal Power Facility, which can be found on Tile L.  The Port Cougar facility generates electricity from two sources, the first being natural gas deposits.  Secondly, a more recent addition to the facility is a Wave Generator on Cougar Bay, taking advantage of new green energy technology.

The small village of Electron houses workers at the Port Cougar facility.

The region's water supply is from the Shadowvale Springs Complex, located on Tile A.  Shadowvale takes and purifies water from two sources--the Montague River and the nearby spring.  The large tower, built by CSX Engineering, stores water before delivery to homes and businesses.

Workers at this facility primarily live in the small village of Shadowvale, which is located directly on Highway 10 at the intersection with the access road to the water facility.

As you may notice, both resources are located on the north side of the river . . . this is intentional, and as you'll soon see, is the source of one of the intergovernmental struggles between the two states on each side of the river.

One new highway was built as well, Highway 110, which forms a loop off of Highway 10 on the north side of the Grand River, providing access to Electron and the Port Cougar facility.  It covers 5 tiles--B, C, K, L, and F.  The junctions with Highway 10 are in Tile B (shown in Challenge 1) and Tile F.  This new highway will also provide access to the future city of Port Cougar.

Your challenge 2 is well done according to the rules and the demands. You can now play on 2 more citytiles anywhere in your region. This will be a part of challenge 3. Make sure that you have at least 100 citizens each in all three tiles you played in (no population max limit).

Judgement of Challenge 2

A.   Not a good idea to have a federal route to go somewhere and have it come back to nearly where it came from. There were many better places to have it built. We gave you 3 points for the route challenge.
B.   Very nice choice of lots and very well placed parking lots that we both enjoyed. Well observed from real life. We gave you a solid 4 points for the power challenge.
C.   Very good location of the waterlots and the pipes are well conformed with the waterfacility. Well done. We gave you 4 points for the water challenge.

A Total of 11 Points were added to your challenge.

Congratulations, well done. We hope the next route will access the great southeast. Good luck with the next challenge.

PS: time to have some sims moving in now, don't you think?
