Mayor Rusty:

The Bordertown Ecological Liberation Front (BELF) demands the following.  With respect to the areas marked on this map

(https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg32.imageshack.us%2Fimg32%2F6533%2Frustyxlregionannotated.jpg&hash=e33b1f0b2ed1f1543aa2be5490517bcd9d7c779a)

you will create a regional wetlands preserve in the area outlined and numbered "1."  It will have within 10 gridsquares of the south (bottom) or west (left) boundary a Visitor's Center accessible by gravel road from the edge of the quad, but shall otherwise have no roads within it.  It should have a network of trails on the mainland- the island may remain entirely natural.  There should be marshes and bogs along the shorelines.

The area marked "2" shall become a Regional Park with the intent to preserve the "Lakes" area for outdoor recreation and other public use.  You may build service and internal access roads within the park, which should have a visitor's center, at least one campground, a swimming area, a small boat marina, nature trails and other amenities.  You should also give thought to creating good access to the park to the regional highway along with ample parking, as I'm sure your Sims will give it heavy use.

This important task will go far in redeeming you in the eyes of BELF's many committed fanatics environmentalists greenies members.

Save the Whales!

Samhain aka David

1. The separatists removed the barriers on Route 110 and the Grand River Railroad, so Mayor Tom put up checkpoints on all the border crossings to keep tabs on who and what enters the country. Here is a picture of the checkpoints on Highway 10 and the Grand River Railroad:
(https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi181.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fx91%2FRusty_XL%2FChallenge5-01.jpg&hash=08e71c1ce60d72b88b61839f37aafdeb80c7912e)

And the checkpoint on Route 110:

2. Here is a copy of my orders to Metarvo:
Quote from: RustyXL on May 18, 2009, 03:29:08 PM
I have been appointed as the new commander of the rebels and these are my orders.

1. In Tile I I would like you to expand the town to at least twice it's current size. Make sure you provide extra civic services if they are needed.

2. Expand the industrial area from Tile I into Tile M. Make it about twice the size of the current idustrial area.

3. Connect the railroad and roads coming from Tile I to Route 10 and the I.L.R.R. in Tile M.

If you have any concerns with these demands let me know and we might be able to negotiate.

Commander Rusty

3. Here are 2 pictures of the wetlands preserve:

Excellent, Rusty!

Submarines and jets, though- man, all we asked you to do was build a couple of parks...

Fantastic job (hint, hint, Fred and Lynn).

Judging Challenge 5

I finally got around to continue the GRV II Challenges and we will continue with the judgement of Challenge 5, 6 and 7 in the next weeks. Make also sure to read the *speach* that I wrote in the General discussion thread, maybe giving an explanation to all this delay.
How this challenge was judged can be found in the Challenge 5 thread. Please read it so you can judge my Challenge 5 also.

This challenge wasn't any easier than the one before to judge, because we had to look at many different points and from different views. Thank You.

1. The checkpoints were excellently re-connected and well controlled. A well deserved 4 points for this.
2. Although you did not post your orders to your adversary in your thread as demanded, we gave you 3 points for the orders you gave to your adversary.
3. All demands of the rebels were excellently fulfilled. We liked the camping site and the surrounding natural settings and we gave a complete 4 points for this part of the challenge.
4. The army is indeed impressive, maybe a little overdone in size, but still we gave you 3 good points.
5. The rails location to the residentials is very good, but what the scenic part of it concerns is not quite what we hoped for. We gave you a 3 out of 4 for this.
1 Bonus point given for being ontime.

You have earned yourself a total of 18 points in this challenge. Very good indeed.

Lynn and Fred
