Hey all, I've got a question: Mas created a set of lamp posts which I have been trying to incorporate into a T-21 mod I'm working on. Problem is , although all of them light up when placed unto a "test lot" , but when applied to a t-21 exemplar...nada! He has re-rendered thinking that it was a lod issue , but still nothing:

Any ideas?

Do you use RKT1 or RKT4 for the lamp posts. If it is the first, maybe it will help to change the RKT1 to RKT4.
Nightlighting of models does not work on T21's except for light cones/globes that are attached via the RKT4 properties. Nightlighting only works on Lots. There isn't anyway to force nightlighting to work on networks, sorry.
The same problem affects the stoplight poles I created for the Avenue Turning Lanes plugin. None of the signs or crosswalk signals light up at night.

mrtnrln: thanks for the reply , but I think Jan has the answer! I noticed that Mas san had not included any cones , but thought nothing of it. I did not realize that they would not light up with normal BAT lighting. So , either Mas san should try and make some cones , or ...now this is a stretch , but could I just use a cone from another light...altering the exemplar of course, to these? I know in the past , when making lots that I had a lot of trouble getting the cones to attach correctly on rotation!

Yes, you can use e.g. any of Maxis' lightglobes.

Creating a RKT4 is largely a question of trial and error...
It takes a lot of testing in the game to get them correctly.
I don't know how many times I moved the lightcones up and down
on the
Brighter ยงยงยง Street Lights (http://sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=1604) mod before I was satisfied...
If the pole and the lightcone are both rendered without offset it should be easy enough though.
Just give them the same X and Z offset coordinates (0,0) and tune the Y offset (height) in the RKT4.
