I am just about up to the point where it's time for me to make the readme for my upcoming pack of squares. However, it seems that SC4Tool will only let me make readmes for individual lots. This isn't what I want to do; I want to make only one readme, not six. How can I make a readme that covers all six lots?
I make a set of Readmes that I label readxxx for all but one. These do not have images or description added. The last one I label Readme_xxx and add the description and images. I then open each read in NVu and copy the lot information details tables to the Readme also copying any additional dependencies needed. Once they have all been dealt with I throw out the ones labelled readxxx and Save the Readme. By making the last one the Readme the images will remain in the images folder.
Hope that makes sense.
Yeah, I do the very same. The basic readme that SC4Tool creates is good, but some cleanup with a decent HTML editor is always appropriate. It's also a good idea to add links to the dependency list in this step, maybe formatting the description text a bit etc.
moin woodb3kmaster,
i have a similar way to deal with this, ... i make a readme for every lot and make one the main-readme, open every readme in the standart editor from windows and copy and paste the stuff i want into the main-readme :-[ hope that makes sense ...
... you have to try out ... and check the html readme afterwards ...
cheers

You guys are much more organized than me ;D Since most of my stuff deal with the same theme (Road/transit mods) I just open the last readme in NVU , open the source tab , edit the name , then just change what ever images and text in the readme. Regardless , I think it sometimes takes as long or longer to make the read me than the actual content ;D

;D ;D Jayson, you have stumbled on the truth of custom content. Readmes and packaging often take longer than making the content.

Esp. if you have to do it in two languages... :-\
Thanks everyone! Your advice will be a huge help. One thing, though - what's this NVu program some of you mentioned? I assume it's some sort of HTML editor...
Yep it is

I can't remember where , but there are templates that Barby made to make it a little easier.
