Title: Oh no.

Something bad happened.  Here's what happened:  First I downloaded the Meadowshire terrain mod and a PEG water mod.  Things looked good.  Also, I compressed some random items into .dats using the DATpacker. I had some unorganized items just sitting in the Plugins folder not organized e.g. Residential, Civic.

Then I loaded up my city.  I got the message above.  Then I looked at several items in my city, them being: some schools I downloaded, Kevdan's plopped McDonalds and PEG's ponds all either looked wierd or were the dependancy boxes.  I tried dat-packing everything, but I couldn't remember everything I dat-packed because it was a lot.  Any help, guys?  Should I just download everything again?  And I got rid of the Meadowshire terrain mod, so that couldn't have been it right?

I don't know if it will help at all, but those numbers refer to the decimal version of the hex number of the missing files (Props or Lots) most likely.

The hex versions are;
0x0D4ED17A
0x7098C766
0x362191D2

Maybe someone will recognize them.

Okay you mention compressing the plugins folder.   Is there a chance you renamed it something else or forgot to name the compressed plugins back to "plugins".   If for some reason there was not a folder named "plugins" when you fired up the game this time, the game will create one that contains basically the vanillia Maxis stuff.   Go back and look in you "my documents/simcity4/plugins" folder and make sure it is all there the way it is supposed to be.   I have done this before myself a few times when I tried to hurry.

Hmm.  Things look good, Gaston.  So I don't know...

If this helps, SC4 DatPacker tells me this:
Quote
It seems that there is no subfolder in your plugins folder located at
C:\Users\MurphyFamily\Documents\Sim City 4\Plugins
Program will now exit

I'm using Vista.

Ah, never mind.  A conveniently timed backup of My Documents saved the day.
