I downloaded RippleJet's private schools with sliders (version 1.0) mod, and like a good boy, I read the instructions first, and deleted my private schools before adding the .dat file to my plugins folder. Unfortunately, now I can not get the private schools back, they are not even on the list of rewards buildings. For that matter, I started a new city, and I can't get private schools, mayor's statues, churches or cemeteries. I've tried removing the mod, but no dice. Does anyone have any idea how I could get them back?
Hmmm, that is very weird. Try using the You Don't Deserve It cheat and see if that will unlock them. If not then there is possibly and installation problem. Did you install anything else at the same time?
Though it is a little embarrassing to admit, it would appear that I just did not qualify for any of the missing rewards. I have now received everything I was missing except the mayor's statues, pretty much all at once. Though I thought I was quite familiar with the game, I am playing it on a different difficulty level, and I think that may have changed the requirements for the rewards. I will have to do some research on what exactly they are. The private schools mod was only coincidentally involved and is working beautifully.
