Hi :)
I think I'll post the picture first:
(https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg401.imageshack.us%2Fimg401%2F9093%2Ferrorcg.jpg&hash=80930282bf35321c01d32833e533293acdb149fa)
When I want to plop a building it appears in a strange shape. After the building has been plopped I'm able to see it as it should look like. But it is really annoying, as it also happens with cars (3rd picture). Only one half of the car appears, the same goes with pedestrians walking on the sidewalk &mmm
Any help would be appreciated
Thanks in advance,
Fabian
Did this happen recently? I've been looking through your mayor diary and I didn't notice anything wrong with the cars.
I have similar issues as well, but I'm playing SimCity through wine on Linux. I don't think you have the same setup.
I usually play in hardware mode, with -d:opengl as an argument. Almost everything with regards to graphics is like if I were running in Windows, except shadows are always low quality and city tiles with water have artifacts in region view. When I run the game in hardware mode, with -d:d3d as an argument, there is a graphics performance penalty, shadows are high quality and no region view artifacts. However, some textures and all automata are not rendered properly (partially invisible).
You can try switching between -d:d3d and -d:opengl, and switching between hardware and software to see if it helps.
Thank you so much sumwonyuno &apls
The buildings appear right again :) (didn't check the cars but i suppose they'll show up right, too).
Changing the rendering mode worked fine.
Thanks again,
Fabian
Another suggestion is to turn off the advanced features of your video card (such as anti-aliasing) or set them to application controlled. Most current video cards have an application, usually in the taskbar, to allow you to change these settings.
