Title: Prop Lowering?
Post by: jpj_starfleet on October 09, 2009, 01:19:51 PM
I have a question regarding props in the Lot Editor, I know how to raise and lower props but is it possible to lower a prop past its botoom point?  Thank You

Ehmm, maybe it's possible to do this in the reader but I'm not sure if this will work.

Another way could be to lower not the prop's position, but instead the model itself. I have uploaded a utility for manipulating models, see SC4 Model Tweaker on the LEX.

Models may have underground parts (they are not visible) but these cause funny effects when you hover them, and have problems with the shadows too (the underground part casts a sort of "negative" shadow). But these are quite tolerable I think, esp if the underground part isn't very tall.

Thank you cogeo for your help, the prop I want to lower actually wont be going underground, I want to lower CDI_Spy's SYM Prod SkyWalk Edmonton Bridge which is the long green one, it seams to be like .5 to tall for monorail or EL tracks to go over, the tracks go though the very top of the bridge and you also see the top of the bridge when I put it though monorail or EL stations. I am making a custom airport which these bridges would connect the terminals with parking garages and monorail stations.  Thanks again.
