Besides the three airplanes in the aircraft related list (thread), the mustang, the spitfire and the DC7, are there somewhere other pre 1970 airplanes, whether they're props, lots or 3ds/gmax model files. And it doesn't matter whether they're war- or commercial planes.
I have seriously looked around but couldn't find any.
Thanks
Fred
You could click here, to go to the Freeflight Design Shop (http://www.freeflightdesign.com/gmax.html) There are .gmax sources available to download. I used the Convair and the P-3C Orion in my MD. There's also a Beech 18 and a few others. If you need any help rendering or anything you can get in contact with me.
I also just modeled the Fairchild-Swearingen Metroliner, which was first built in 1972 (so not really pre-70s) if that interests you (I could give you an advance copy). I think you've also been in contact with RustyXL about his 727.

Here's a wee picture of the Metroliner in the Air New Zealand link colours, prior to the 1990's
Hey thanks for that linkie, joelyboy911 , didn't know that one. I hope I will be able to texture them properly.
For your model of the 72 Metroliner, I would be delighted to show it in my MD *Winding River Project*, which will be soon in the 70's anyway. Besides, it looks like a plane from the sixties, good job btw. I'll pm you with my e-mail later tonight.
Thanks again, much appreciated.
Fred
Some of the models there come with textures that can easily be modified, like the Convair, but if you need it, I've had quite a lot of practise at texturing planes, because I've been using converted Sketchup models, from the Google 3D Warehouse. I'd be happy to help you out.
Thanks joelyboy911 for the offer. I might ask you if I cannot do it myself.
Fred
