Print Page - blue prints in max

I feel so stupid &ops
I'm working on this project and i need to get a floorplan in to MAX (as described in Simfox tut I) but when i try to make a plane in MAX it only shows a outline of the plane in top view, so when i put the image on it, it doesn't show in top view..
can somebody please tell me how i should make i visible!!

From the top of my head: Right click on the windows title in the top left corner (Top, Left, Right, Front....) to change display type. (Wireframes, ect)
