Post by: Enzo on April 15, 2007, 04:08:32 AM
Hi,
I've hear about a mod/tools that allow to load different plugin on different city tile. Could someone point me on this please ?
basically, I would like to load different terrain mod within the same region but not on the same city.

I think you're looking for the SC4 Startup Manager. ;D

You can get that here -> Click! (http://kurier.simcityplaza.de/details.php?file=311)

More information here -> Click! (http://www.simtropolis.com/forum/messageview.cfm?catid=121&threadid=70989&highlight_key=y&keyword1=plugin%20manager)

Edit: It doesn't allow you to vary plugins for different cities, but rather, regions. I do think you'll find it useful though.

You could always create a subfolder for each city in your plugin folder. Place the bats, lots, terrain in there and use the start up manager. If you know what city your playing load that folder, keep all your dependencies in seperate folder.

If you use Datpacker + Cleanitol and you should have no probs  ;)

You may like to know that the next version of SUM will allow use of subfolders in your plugins folder and seperate plugins for each city. It is currently in beta. Andreas would be the best person to talk to about it though.
