Thank you so much releasing these awesome props and models. Huge thanks for the diagonal tram stop. That's gonna be a great addition for some future GLR related projects of mine.
If you find any other of your unreleased BATs, please don't hesitate to release them as they are.

Thanks!
------------

I was going through my plugin folder, deleting stuff to downsize my plugins in preparation for my final region/city and stumbled upon these aircraft related props that I forgot I rendered for the airport/air base project.
Since I will not be pursuing this project anymore I decided to get rid of them.
Instead of deleting I thought I'd upload these for the community to use.

Before getting to the pictures here's what we have:

Instrument Landing system props, some are based on JENX/Xannepan originals on the LEX
90s era airplanes
JSDF aircraft and vehicles
a diagonal tram stop I modeled for Noahclem. Unfortunately the rest of the stops are lost.

Please note that these props are given as is. I am aware there are rendering issues but I will not fix them. I do not have the models anymore. If you don't like them, don't use them. simple as.

Also I did not model most of these. All of the planes and vehicles come from the sketchup 3D warehouse. Except the tram stop, that's mine.

Now the pictures:

NAM Creations / Re: Stop points for passenger ...

I don't remember all the technical ins and outs of this, but essentially Maxis made the Light Rail system, which is used for El-Rail, Subway and GLR (NAM) networks work one way. Whilst the Heavy Rail networks Rail, Monorail and HSR (NAM) do things differently. This isn't some simple setting that can be changed or edited, rather to do anything about it requires no less than editing the game's code. This has always proved somewhat challenging and frankly the odds of this ever being changed are very low.

Where can I find this ....?¿ / Re: Plug-In 699213727

Well the short version is you are missing something, it's the what that is more complicated. If you have a brown box, you can query the lot to find out which lot is affected. Then you can double-check you have all the right files installed.

In fact if you can just tell us which download this problem is associated with, we'd be able to give you more specific assistance. As it stands, we'd need to have the missing dependency in our own setups to locate what was missing.

SimCity 4 General Discussion / Re: BSC_Cleanitol
Last post by mgb204 - April 20, 2023, 11:39:47 AM
Cleanitol can do one of two things, either together or as separate processes (scripts).

  • It can be used to remove files from Plugins automatically
A typical example of this would be when installing a Dependency or MegaPack which combined previously released files together. In this case running the script will remove all duplicates for you which having installed the updated file, you no longer need.
  • It can be used to scan your Plugins for the dependencies needed
So you download a new mod that requires other files, Cleanitol can look for those files in Plugins and tell you any that you may be missing. It can also provide links to such missing files too, helping to make installation easier or troubleshoot issues around dependencies.

Whilst it was more utilised in the past, I still find it useful and have included them with some of my releases. But they aren't so common these days.

Hi MGB

am nearly 70 and am just trying to get the old grey cell working again. In my working days i was a programmer so looking over other peoples coding and learning is great.
