 Hey everyone ,

the Fresh prince has a request for those vechile modders.    ()stsfd()

But first a story........

Does any remember the orginal sim city and the graphic sets that were realesed after? They did'nt change the game in terms of gameplay but rather the graphics. These graphic sets were probably the first serious mod made for a sim city game. One of those graphic sets added 3 different tilesets that took place in the future ( google " sim city graphic sets "). The three were the United States in 2055, Europe in 2155, and a Lunar Colony in 2195.I recently tried these sets when I pulled out the old school Sim City out of my mom's office. They inspired me to create a futuristic- European region that I hoped to share with community. Other than Sim Mars I found only a few BATs that take place in the future, but I wished there were more. This why I am requesting a modder to crate a few vechile skins that I found to be of some interest:

BTW this is a real ferry boat in Tokyo......

Hoping someone willl realize my request..........

                                Peace,

                                      Fresh Prince

It is certainly possible to make a mod like this, but it would be immensely time-consuming and tedious. Elaborations will be given upon request.
My days here are numbered. It's been great and I've had a lot of fun, but I've moved on to bigger and better things.

Glory be unto the modder and unto the fun and unto the city game!

As nerdly_dood said "it would be immensely time-consuming and tedious.".  Took me about a year or so to whip up the european car mod.  I have been working on a mod to replace the in-game cars with 1960s models for a couple years now.  I have a bit less free time for this project than I used to.  I have considered doing this exact same mod (future cars), but at the rate I work now they might not be future cars at release time ::)

You see that, thats what a real car from the future looks like, no tires.  I can confirm its by the IL-WI border, but won't say where. You have to realize the future offers flying cars. Read on...

In SimCity Societies they made this, Moller SkyCar into road automatta. Now whats weird is they are cars, but don't have wheels in real life. The FAA only allows 10 feet off the ground for some flying cars so far.

Pat

Mike are you saying by the time you can get to those cars it would be a more of a vintage status then lol... Sorry I couldnt resist it, anywho kudo's to you and the Dood for doing the work you both do!!! If this project takes off, I will be watching with delight nonetheless!!!

nerdly_dood - Right. I knew it would take time for someone to make it. I did'nt even expect someone to look at it.I want to put the idea out.

mikeseith - ()what() A year? I much more thankful for it now, I would have never started Euro-like regions without it.

j-dub- Those look cool, but I don't there will a time were will won't use tires for cars, not at least in 21st Century. My hope was for a couple of vechiles we would probably see in the next decade. But no doubt those would be sweet....

Pat- Ditto

BTW- Does anyone other than me think the Prius looks like something from the next decade?

Mike Seith, did make that Prius automatta, or  at least I thought I have seen those driving around in my game. As for next decade, there is a Prius in that game Grand Theft Auto 4, that has some redesign to it.

This would be a great idea, but it could take a while if you can wait for someone to try to make it.

mikeseith

did someone mention my name?  I do have quite a few pictures of concept cars for a future mod of sorts.  I have not started it yet and the vehicles here are not as radical as some of the pictures here.  In the not too distant future I might try to tackle it.  Here are some of the cars I have.  Notice the ford fairlane and the audi lemans are already on the street as the ford flex and the audi R8.  If I do this I will have to hurry.  Also, pay no attention the the ford mustang...not sure why that is in that folder.

Wow, I never thought we would revisited any of my threads. I almost forgot this one it, been over a year ! Well since it's been bought up let's start again.

Anyways, I'm glad to hear that mikeseith. I hope you do so, it would make a great addition. The chioces are excellent too( definetly the saab and acura).
