Okay, I have a significant amount of stuff in my plugins folder, and I just started a new region yesterday. First time I actually looked at the night views, but 60% of lights are off, esp. for modded buildings. Why?

Have you installed the EP1 update for nightlights? If you click here you can find the EA Official updates. There is a patch for the game that allows the nightlights to show, you can find the link down the bottom of the page, once you accept the license agreement.

This ought to solve your problem.

I miss you, Adrian

It should be noted that the updates won't work on pirated versions, since the last exe version wasn't cracked.

Actually it isn't just "cracks".. ANY MODIFICATION to the files will result in a "patch failure".. a more benign example is if you have applied a permanent "affinity" mod to restrict SC4 to a single CPU core. In short it must be EXACTLY as on the INSTALL CD in order to patch properly.

Patch was perfect, and ~200% more lights are showing, though some of the downloaded lights are still off.

Some were also the HK files, the ones that are supposed to have everything inside the DL.

That actually explains my prob. I was gonna ask if cracked versions cause night-lighting to not work at all as I downloaded a crack to put in my laptop so that I don't have to bring the cd with me. Though I guess I can live without nightligthing on my laptop.

Yep, I still got it.
