Hi all,

Thank you so much for sparing a few minutes of your time. I really didn't want to inconvenience everyone, and I tried reading through all the sticky topics listed in the CAM forum. I think I read somewhere that majority of the lots on LEX are CAMpatible. However, may I know how could I tell the lots apart from the non-CAMpatible ones? Of course I'm making a gross assumption that the uploader might not have indicated in the description of the LEX file.

For example, I have been a huge fan of Gascooker's UK Suburbia Pack 1-5 and has been playing them on my cities for quite some time. After getting CAM, I purged the plugin folder (but kept them separate on another place in the computer), and I am thinking of importing his lots back into the plugins folder. I have downloaded his packs from LEX previously, but he didn't indicate whether they are CAMpatible or not.

I don't mind using PIM-X to recompute the growth stage for his lots, but I'm just wondering (lazy bum here, sorry heh) if his files are CAMpatible then I don't have to use the PIM-X to make changes - which brings me to the question of the CAMpatibility of growable lots on LEX.

p/s: In addition, I realize that his diagonal lots occupy less of the LOD box than the parallel ones. When I enter their occupancy, PIM-X gives me different growth stages for them. Is it okay that I make them the same growth stage, despite the discrepancy in the calculated value, so that I can get them to grow at the same stage?

Cheers,
Terry

Gascooker's packs have been updated with PIMX aka SC4PIM aka the XTool. So these are perfectly suitable for CAM.

If you're uncertain about a lot, or a set of lots, try opening it up in PIMX and see if there is a Filling Degree property. If so, then it has already been updated, and is ready for CAM.

On the LEX, you can read through the descriptions. Nealy all (99%) of the lots that have been updated will say so, be it "CAMified" or "updated with PIMX/XTool/SC4PIM"... And it is now required that all lots uploaded to the LEX be modded using SC4PIM.

Thank you for the information. I have some of his older Suburbia packs (packs 3 to 5) which I don't see on LEX, so I'm thinking of modding them myself.

Anyway, thanks for the useful information about the CAMpatibility of LEX files. I guess I can download with a peace of mind ;) thanks again!
