Atridea recently submitted Pella as a bid for the SCJU CHRONOS World Heritage Sites.

The City of Pella was the seat of power of the Macedonian Kings since 400BC, when Achelaus built a new capital for the Kingdom of Macedonia to replaced the older capital of Aegae (modern-day Vergina). The name Pella comes from the Ancient Greek word pélla, meaning stone. It is also believed, though wrongly so, that the name comes from the Spartan word Apélla, meaning 'ceremonial place made of stone'. Pella has the same root as the Greek word Polis (city). The city enjoyed all the privilages of being the capital of the Kingdom until Alexander the Great conquered Babylon and declared it the capital of his new Hellenic Empire, stretching from Greece to India. With the defeat of Macedonia by the Romans, which came to be known as the Macedonian Wars and the complete collapse of Alexander's successor states, the city was abandoned and Thessaloniki was declared the capital of Macedonia.

Only a very small portion of the city remains in the form of ruins, and many artifacts that were found in the area have been moved to the Archaeological Museum of Pella, a reconstruction of the ancient Royal Palace of Pella, and some others to the Archaeological Museum of Thessaloniki.

Pella is located 30 minutes from the capital city of the Republic of Atridea, Thessaloniki, on a fertile plain. In ancient times, Pella was a city with a large harbour but in modern times erosion caused the shoreline to move.

Looking great Mike but you arn't allowed to mention the SCJU on the forums due to a small tiff last year

Mod Edit: Sure you can, just can't link to it. But you can't use 5MB pngs in a MD, as they take so long to load, even with my up to 40 Mbps connection. - Nate

I hope this CJ continues in the way of it's startup!
