I'm desperately hoping some kind soul can help me! I have quite a large number of downloaded farms but for some inexplicable reason the SG farms stubornly refuse to grow, as seen in the screen shot below:

As you can see other farms will grow (in this case Mbears splendid med farms) but not the crops on the SG ones.
I've double checked the dependencies twice over, removed my agri jobs multiplier and even used a Maxis farm blocker, but to no avail!
Anyone have any ideas? My only thought is, I'm not using the CAM, is that possibly the issue?

I am not too familiar with the SG farms, are those them growing, but only using the same field?  If so then there may be a dependency issue there.

Do you know about IlivesReader?  All of these buildings have a "Building Value" stat.  This value basically determines the likelihood of a building growing (when conditions are right).  I would bet that the Mbear buildings are worth more than the SGs, in which case you would edit one or the other to make them equal (or whatever).

I see at least three SG farms looking at the screen grab. So I think that the problem is with the appearance of the SimGoober crops as I also see one of my corn crop farms with dirt fields and no corn plants.

The below link is to the SimGoober crops 'revisited' ... the crops have one dependency which is BSC textures but I see that your fields have the base texture so all you need to do is to download and install into your plugins. That should do it.

Adding to what lokee said, Adding the Cam should create more variaty as some of the farms you are using as they maybe of  of higher stages, which to get them to grow you need to have the Cam installed as well as break the IND stage  barriers.

To do this with the CAM, add an area of Dirty or Manf IND in your city or open a neighbouring city and place them there the more of them  you grow the higher the % of higher stage farm lots you will be able to grow . Once you break the stage limits higher stage farms will start to grow, eg more 2,3,4,5,6.7 stage lots will appear. Maybe Ripple or someone else can explain it better, but it boils down to that the farms jobs  themmselves do not contribute to you reaching the higher stages. Think this is also true when not using the CAM but the stages have less of an effect and you will never see any farms that are 4 or higher stages as the origial game is limited to 3rd level lots.

That or maybe eliminate some of the lower stage farm lots from your plugins if they become to much of a weed lot, if modding them is not a viable option to you. When the game has demand it automaticly picks the lots that will fill the demand max first, If certain lots are of higher values, they will squeeze out other lots with less values from ever appearing cause the game never chooses the lower value lots.

Many thanks for the help everyone! I managed to fix the problem, I thought I had already installed the SG farm fields 1 & 2/ Revisited, but the files wer not there! I tried reinstalling but for some reason the installer didn't seem to want to put the files in the location I wanted. I let the installer do its thing to the default location and it installed all the files. I now have fully functioning SG farms!

@Indisguise: I actually have the CAM on my 'other' plugins directory which I switch between depending on what I'm doing, and the farms worked great on there upto and including stage 6 farms  :) I'm really proud of how organised my plugins directories are and I didn't want to just copy my farms directories from one to the other without understanding why!

Once again many thanks all!
