How wide to make the model in gmax if you want it to be w2w on the lot?

Wow, embarassing to ask what seems like such a basic question. Still, its not something I've seen addressed explicitly although so many modelers do w2w lots. I'm hoping to make some small scale residential that ends up w2w. Does that mean I make the model all the way to the gridlines in gmax? What about the leeway I thought we were supposed to leave on each side? Any advice on how to ensure that the rendered models end up fitting perfectly on the lot and they grow w2w as they should? Thanks in advance:)

well a tile is 16x16.... so... leave a small amount of leeway on your LOD's maybe 5cm either side.
NAM + CAM + RAM + SAM, that's how I roll....
