;D thanks, I so much want to avoid any rancor here and it can be soooo hard to avoid when even broad political movements pop up. But I think now that Liberation Day is over, the political contexts will be a bit more... comical. But all in good time.

That is Astor Point, and it is exquisite, isn't it? I cannot recall whom to credit, it should be easy to find. LM ploppable and growable as R$$$, it is a top-notch creation IMO.

(edit: it's actually Astoria Pointe, if that makes it easier)

Trying, but time constraints and a contagious general lack of enthusiasm makes it bit less rewarding. I had several MDs/CJs in the past that fell apart due to various hardware/software issues and it's hard to start all over again years later, when it's no longer fresh.

Don't let a lack of other people's enthusiasm or response to your work dampen your own enthusiasm for your project.  While I know all us MD'ers want to share our projects and hope to amuse/entertain an "audience" of other fans and Mayors, I think in the end we have to realize our MD's are for us, first, and others second.  I've started 3 MD's so far and never completed any of them, in the traditional sense of "completion".  The goals I set for myself when I started each changed once I started playing and writing.  In essence, each was a learning project and, to a certain degree, a teaching project.  Some folks enjoyed my MD's and some complained about them.  In the end all three "went to sleep" because *I* lost interest in the project or became overwhelmed or found a new map I wanted to dink around with or because RL snuck up and bit me in the behind.  In all 3 MD's, I bumped my own posts more than once...if the moderators think any of us MD'ers are abusing the site's post-bumping policy, they will let us know and they never said "boo" to me.

So keep going as you have been with River City and forget about trying to please the many different points of view encompassed by the readers and posters of SC4D.  I, for one, am enjoying your MD and hope you continue.  In typical LDVGER fashion, I am stirring up a yet another new MD, so we may be in the same boat soon enough!

And BTW, if you want to look at my sleeping MD's, they can be found in the Inactive or Archives forums: Apocrypha, Reconstructing San Francisco, and Abajo del Mar.
