trouble logging into forums (SMF unable to connect to database)

the last several days i have had trouble logging into the SC4D forums... the error message reads "Connection Problems: Sorry, SMF was unable to connect to the database. Please try again later" I tried multiple computers, Multiple ISPs, Multiple IPs, Even tried several proxy's... a log in is only successful maybe 1 out of 50 tries... PLEASE HELP!!!

I also had problems today, it exists from time to time.

I see this error now and again, too. But I don't need 50 attempts. If you encounter the message, wait 10 minutes or so, by then, the server should have recovered. It's not use to hit F5 multiple times, this will make things only worse, since your browser will send new requests again and again, putting more stress on the server.

strange, hitting refresh fixes it for me most of the time
