Hello all.
I have been transit enabling some lots, in particular the Sinburg plazas. I have never TE'd before and I think I have done something wrong. The TE'd lots work fine, however as you can see below, they like to connect to roads. What have I done to cause this?

Transit enabling is a feature that can be used to allow traffic to pass through a lot. This is different from a puzzle piece which is, basically, similar to plopping an actual network piece. Transit enabled lots have the added feature of being able to visually connect to the network they're adjacent to (like how the toll booth or the el rail station allow networks on either side of it to run through it.

It's been a while since I've fiddled with transit enabling, but it appears you have it enabled for streets/roads. Not sure what your plan is for the lot though. Keep in mind though, that TE'ing a lot is not the same as what's been used to make the ped mall tiles and such from the NAM (since it seems that that may be the aim of the picture).

This thread here should better explain why the roads are connecting, among other things, and this thread should help explain puzzle pieces if that's what you're looking for.

Hope that helps.

Thanks, threestooges.

I have TE'd some of the Sinburg lots that have textures that match the white and brick NAM pedmall tiles so that I can connect the pedmall tiles to roads and such and have matching textures. It works really well. I've just made a noob error in SC4 Tool.

This is the kind of problem the TE'd Sinburg lots solve. The TE'd Sinburg lots replace the mismatched marrast lots.

All sorted!
I now have TE'd Sinburg plazas alternating with matching pedmall tiles and the sims are using them.

Thanks for all the help.
