A good Evening to you all (or whatever part of day you're experiencing right now)
This is my first MD and i wish to present to you:

Yggdrasil: Exploring a World

This is the largest region i've ever created and i hope you will enjoy reading my MD (or just "D" as i'm not planning to write it from a mayors view)

With Yggdrasil being a country which is enormously unknown to man, many surprises and development is awaiting....

We begin our story with the intriguing personality of Dane Amaranth, who has just arrived from the northern regions of europe to start a new life in Yggdrasil. He is a promising, young astronomer who dreams of the opportunities Yggdrasil has to offer.

"After having lived on a boat for several days, i was eager to get off. My feet were anxious to feel land beneath them. Land that had so much to offer... My expectations were high and hopefully true. My first visit after i got of the boat was to get to my new, hopefully temporary home. I was hoping my new home to be temporary, since it was build specifically for the astronomers working at the Nimpkish Astronomical Observation Centre (NAOC). This remote facility, located at Nimpkish Eas End, was famous for its discoveries in Deep-Space Exploration. I was hoping to advance quickly in ranks in NAOC so that i could move off the island to the mainland, which was largely unexplored and booming with development.
But, first i had to get to NAOC."

"After i got of the boat, i went looking for my car. NAOC had arranged a cab for me. Very convenient, since i would be able to do a little pre-work.

"Corridor Isle is located on the narrowest section of Nimpkish Isle and i arrived at the southern ferry landing. I asked my chauffeur to quickly drive to Corridor Isle so i could pick some groceries"

"Sadly i discovered that Corridor Isle was mostly a farming community and since didn't want to go to the farms to get my stuff, i told the cab driver to drive to NOAC.
Having left Corridor Isle about 30 minutes behind us, we came across another town. 'Drybed' it was called and - after asking my cab driver - it seemed to be the industrial and commercial heart of Nimpkish Isle. Now you should know that Nimpkish Isle is mostly farm oriented, so i hoped - no i begged that i could find my groceries here."

"I was lucky, Drybed had a supermarket. With my groceries in the trunk, i continued my journey. The cab driver told me that the next part would be long. After Drybed, there were no more settlements of meaning on Nimpkish Isle. I found out that the western part of the Isle houses pretty much all inhabitants of Nimpkish. Great. My home - and work - were on the East End of Nimpkish. I really had to get a car. Hopefully i could find one online or buy a truck from a farmer. Since they were abundant near NOAC.
After Several hours in the car I saw it. NOAC. The huge dishes slowly emerged at the horizon and grew closer. My belly began to tingle... A new beginning... We got of the main road ant entered NOAC grounds. I could feel it. NOAC clearl had no interest in roads, the car struggled with the poorly maintained gravel roads. But finally I was able to get out and sniff the salty air. My home, located at the heart of NOAC with several other employee homes, was small. I hoped it was better maintained than the roads i just drove over.

"NOAC, a new home, a new beginning."

I hoped you enjoyed my intro to Yggdrasil. As last i will provide a region shot (though the region is way WAY bigger) To give you an idea, the island you see here extends a large tile to the west an two large tiles to the east. This island could probably fit about four of five times tail-to-head in this region. So... that's one bunch of development and exploration!

NOAC is located on the eastern end of the island, which is not seen on this shor

The Best Wishes,

Ely
