Buildings are appearing on too small lots, help!

Im a new user of CAM and im currently building my first region with it.

I have a problem with a couple of downloaded buildings. Willtrans Corp Tower and Velacosma.
They are both growing on too small lots. 3x4 to be exact. The buildings are not growing properly either, they just show up like some scattered paved plazas and so on (no brown boxes).
When i plop the ploppable version to compare they are much larger (5x?)... I have no idea what the problem is.

I have downloaded the correct starterpacks and their dependencies. The buildings readme's doesnt say anything about any other dependencies... Im lost and I have no idea where to start  ()what()

The Velacosma building consists of many different files and folder, Willtrans Tower just 3 different files.
I have placed these in my plugin folder under a custom folder.

What to do?

What you need to do is to provide a link so I can download investigate. I have no idea what they are or where they can be found.

It seems that you can not delete the lot because there is no building. Can you as an example, zone the area as residential, then rezone to commercial to get rid of the 'patchwork' ??

Ok let me explain a little bit more.

I can bulldoze the building even if i cannot see it. If i select the bulldozer they light up red when i put the cursor over it. Thats the only reason I know how large area it covers. Its just annoying that all my other nice buildings are being replaced by these invisible skyscrapers, i keep on bulldozing them over and over in order to get a building that "works".

From what i understand everything but the visuals works. I can query the building and get all the info about it and so on.

I can bulldoze those with no issues, but they grow on lots way to small.

I see what you're talking about, Michael. I saw a lot like that once before in my game. But it was because I was making some changes to another person's lots/buildings and was working quickly. Although, in my case, the lot size was OK ... the building was invisible as you've pictured. My solution was to make a new DESC and LOT and delete my edited version. 

OK - I downloaded the CAM starter pack. Found the two CAM zip files where the two buildings in question reside and used the installer to put them into a bare bones plugin folder. I downloaded the two buildings (thanks for the links, by the way) and moved the model files into my plugins. The largest city I have is currently growing stage 10 and 11 CO/CS. So I'll have to use the Lot Editor for a visual and iLives reader to confirm the lot size as described by the exemplar file. 

My results are different and I'm at a loss.

Ok no worries, I can live without them :)

But can I delete the buildings and not risk messing up my CAM? They are listed as dependencies for the starterpacks... or can I for example remove 1 of the files so the building will not grow but the... hmm I dont know the correct term here... textures and stuff is intact for the starterpack?

I hope you understand what I mean.

Yes. It is OK to remove the two files below. These are the CAMeLot versions of the buildings. There will be no negative impact.

I'd move them to a temp directory for a while as an experiment. You will know that the buildings have been used by another file in your plugin if the 2X3 lots grow again. Then you'll have to go on a search and destroy mission.
