I'm quite sure you remember the nice option of SC3K that allow you to toggle visibility of different elements (zones, buildings, public buildings, etc...) on data views.

So I'd like to know if it is possible to obtain something similar, like showing health situation showing only health-related buildings and not growables, for example. Or show roads, zones, and public transport building hiding everything else.

I've looked at the modified data view provided with NAM and also at list of different filter types (building, flora, etc...) but it seems that if you hide buildings ALL buildings are now hidden,etc...

whatevermind

That pretty much covers it.  You don't have the option of hiding only certain types of buildings in SC4.  If you want to hide all buildings, the Zones view works well for that, either with the default settings or the modified Zones view, as you've noticed.

The Health, Education, Crime, and Fire data views highlight buildings of that type in bright green, which at least in more lightly developed cities can make them pretty easy to spot, but they don't hide the growable buildings.
