So recently i bought simcity4 again (my disk broke after all those years of service and i had bought a new pc) after seeing what a debacle simcity2013 turned out to be.

I installed all my plugins from scratch and downloaded my old favorite terrain mod: cpt_italia

At first things looked good after i created a new region and painted the whole thing with trees in god mode things where good.

However upon making the first city in mayor mode i encountered a problem:

as you can see the ground in hometown changed coulour/texture. This happened in mayor mode.

I have tried and debug this thing but i can not find any conflicting plugins. Also i made sure only to have 1 terrain mod installed.
The mod isn't seasonal so this can't be an issue either

anybody care to weigh in and try to help me fix this.

All help would be greatly appreciated

here some more screenshots:

what i want it to be:

what it currently is in mayor mode: (not wanted)

i saw an increase in the texture with the white dots not sure if this helps you

What happens if you open the city and run it a few months and save it during the summer, or fall?

Most likely this is because of saving at a different times of the year indeed. Terrain textures actually change over the course of the year, though a fully seasonal terrain mod is yet to be developed.  ::)

Just wait till you start playing higher elevation stuff and the snow flips from one side of the hills to the other.  ()what()

CP's terrain mods seem quite bad about this.  I'd recommend upgrading to one of the newer HD mods, such as Lowkee's Appalacian Terrain or Gobias' Sunken Valley.

leaving it run for a while doesn't do anything so i guess i'll choose another one.
Too bad because i kinda like this ones green clour

You'll have to pause; zoom in/out or rotate and then save to see the actual change in textures.
