Vaporized Steel

Best members,
I am new here and it's my first post.
I'm a 21year old guy and I got a 40hour week job.

I'm not overly fond at videogames but lately I'm semi addicted to simcity games. Because just since recently I have come in contact with the beauty of it. I'm still learning alot.

On topic

I have around a dozen of mods installed. However, during the installation of one of those my game crashed to desktop. Having found out that I had all the dependencies for all my mods I began cut/pasting each of my .dat plugin files to a backup folder.

Doing this over again until I found the bad plugin I had.
And I found him, it's the Brigantine water mod (for better water textures) which I downloaded from simtropolis.

However, I do think I like this mod. Here's my mod list.

Quote1. NAM31
2. High speed rail mod
3. Industry quadrupler
4. BSC mega packs and props
5. PAM v2 mod (persisten automata) over NAM31 automata
6. A few PEG mods and superpacks.
7. Teirusu rain tools.
8. God terraforming in mayor mode
9. CPT Meadowshire terrainmod.
10. SHK Brigantine water mod
11. Industrial High tech fix
12. Chamber of commerce
13. Census repository facility
14. Simfox day and night mod
15. Industrial revolution mod
16. CSX megaprops.

So I wonder why the brigantine water mod doesn't fit in. Is it another mod that I have that crashes with it?
Maybe the other mod I desire less so I would delete the other instead.

If it's one of my more valuable mods that I wish not to delete then is their a Brigantine water mod alternative? Possibly with similar good looks that would work under my currently installed plugins?

EDIT

I'm very sorry if this is the wrong subsection to post in. I couldn't find any mod help section and I thought technical help wasnt matching a mod problem either. But I just suddenly found out that this subsection is a extremely unactive one so I think I posted wrong.

I'll have a quick look into this for you, but in the mean time, have you tried the Brigatine mod without anything else in there to see if it works?

Also, this is in the description of the Mod:

QuoteThis is a suite of "new" water mods based on the wave pattern of an old standby, Peg's much revered Brigantine.

Due to the different texture tiling properties when using HD terrain mods (namely Lowkee's Appalachian and Orange's PTM), older water mods will not scale correctly to the terrain and look odd. Thus I have taken the original Brigantine and effectively doubled the resolution, as well as created 7 other colors utilizing the same wave pattern.

*Note - In order to utilize hd textures you must be rendering in hardware mode, otherwise you may experience a crash to desktop.

Are you using Hardware mode?
