I've been in the process of re-downloading plugins, thought about giving deadwoods NAMPMT Bike Paths a go. I have verified that I have downloaded all specified dependencies, but when placing the lots in game. I immedatly notice that textures are missing, dispite me having already downloaded and installed them to the SimCity 4 Plugin directory.

I am not aware of any extra depencenies, unless when they were merge with a Megapack?

How can I check this?

I'd say you are missing the base textures here. Best guess if they are not in the DAE mega props packs, they are most likely from the BSC Texture Mega Packs vol1 - 3. Do you have these installed?

It's not missing dependencies, I just checked the lot and it doesn't has a base texture to begin with. Weird thing is though the lot actually has two overlay textures, one of which is just completely blank (both are in DAE_BikePath_lottextures.dat). Not sure whether it's a mishap or intentional? At any rate, the only way to get rid of the bug is to apply a base texture to the lot.

I have the base BSC Textures installed along with BSC Essentals.

Ok, how does that happen? There is nothing in the documentation that specifies which base textures to use, has I don't have any installed.

It's hard to say without asking the creator. But if as Vortext says they include a transparent texture for the base, I wonder if perhaps this was not an attempt to avoid the water-bug (where you see the problems).

If you use a similar transparent texture with transit networks, like roads/streets, indeed it will show transparency without any problems. But some limitation has always prevented us from doing the same with lots. I did read somewhere in the archives about using such textures, it's quite possible there was some misunderstanding on how they worked. For example the PedMall pieces happily show transparency (networks), but the lots will not and will show the bug if you try.

This issue was mentioned by others in the comments of the download. So short of editing the lots to add a base texture, you will have to decide to live with it or remove the files. For example, Chris Adams created the RRP farm trails without a base texture, fully knowing this problem could happen. The solution, switch to the zones "data view" and back again. This will restore transparency, at least until certain things are done in game like saving or entering the water menu. Some people would prefer to have transparency and live with the drawbacks.
