Hi all
I would like to have some true eco housing available, as I intend to build for myself in the not to distant future, such as this: http://www.lowcarbon.co.uk/eb.html
These particular buildings build into slopes or would create a small hillock at the rear if built on flat ground. They would be more realistic if they would only grow where at least a slight slope up from the street exists and should grow easily on a more extreme one. I would suggest that lot size could be 1x1 and 1x2. A 2x2 (and maybe larger still) lot could also be good if it were possible to have 2 (or more) houses on it appearing to grow one above the other terraced back into the slope.
As the article explains the buildings are 100% self sufficient for power and water (note solar panels, wind generator and rooftop water collection and purification). I would like to see them producing tiny amounts of power and water so they can grow up disconnected, in reality it would need about 10 of these houses to create enough surplus power/water for an extra house that needed grid connections, so amounts really should be tiny to be realistic. they also deal with all their own waste so they should not create any garbage either, if possible? Naturally connections to water and power should not be needed! They should have a slight beneficial effect on desirability and a small, positive effect on pollution of both air and water. being beautiful and surrounded by productive gardens.
I'm not sure if this is even possible but it would be a great enhancement to the game and help to keep SC4 up to date by providing a basis for 0 carbon dwellings/communities.
Regards.
